Well, SWATH was considered a Box Office disappointment (along with Prometheus) in June. So we'll see, but I doubt Hemsworth's draw is big enough to make a difference. Red Dawn has disappointment written all over it.

Even though Hemsworth has been very successful in terms of blockbusters I dont think he really has a draw yet. I know people like him though

This movie looks like garbage....Hemsworth (fine as he is) cannot save this. I don't even really seem them promoting this remake properly. It's like it's just going to happen and then it will pass and they hope no one will be the wiser. The only reason I think this wasn't released via DVD is because of Hemsworth, but again...(fine as he is) he doesn't have the fan base to save this garbage.

North Korea is a joke. It's military is nothing but aging Soviet leftovers. Aside from invading South Korea (which would be suicide for them), they have no military options.

The idea of them invading Japan would be stretching disbelief.

Them invading America sounds like the premise of a South Park episode.

North Korea is a joke. It's military is nothing but aging Soviet leftovers. Aside from invading South Korea (which would be suicide for them), they have no military options.

The idea of them invading Japan would be stretching disbelief.

Them invading America sounds like the premise of a South Park episode.

They can always invade China. That would last about 30 seconds, but it's still an option.

Unfortunately, this does look horrible. I was excited when I originally heard this was being worked on, but after seeing some of the trailers, I don't have high hopes.

I just feel like we all need to face reality and say that while the original kicked all kinds of ass, it wasn't some cinematic masterpiece. I am hoping this one will be similar in that respect.

The screening for this, months ago, was awesome. Crowd loved it too and actually cheered at some parts lol. It may seem patriotic, and well it is- it's more "let's tar and feather them!" Rebel kind of patriotic.

As to the constant delays, I HIGHLY doubt it was the film itself due to those responses. It's probably the controversy it might strike- "one man's TERRORIST is another man's freedom fighter." And that if you are occupied- fighting back is and should always be right... just the times we're in and us kind of being the occupiers? Bound for controversy. But in a really good way- just might catch bad press at certain times, thus the delays. As said, due to the crowd I was with, I think it's more complicated than other films that have been held off.*

Where man? I saw a screening in the Spring in NYC and my audience reacted opposite including myself.

It is exactly what it looks like, generic unnecessary crap. Chris Hemsworth is literally the only redeeming quality of the movie along with a plot twist towards the end...because the remake deviates from the original in certain ways.

wasnt this like cabin in the woods filmed along time ago before thor? If so it makes sense there trying to capitilize on his and hutchinsons recent big hits.
