They should get Fincher to direct it.

The special effects could be amazing for this. They just have to not chicken out on the hardcore stuff. Robocop never was a by the numbers safe franchise,. That's not why people like it IMO.

They should definitely rewatch Robocop 3 and take notes with it on how not to make a Robocop film.

How could you remake "Red Dawn"? It's appeal today is from how absolutely stupid it is. Maybe the plot can be America is invaded by the cast of the original? I know I'd be scared of the idea of Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze invading America.

There should only be remakes of films if:

a. The films were horrible films to begin with.
b. The films can truly benefit from being made today.

Clash of the Titans and The Day the Earth Stood Still are examples of the latter option.

Never saw Red Dawn. But I love robocop, the original was a classic. It hasnt even been that long enough to redo it. Just another money grab.

I honestly can't see a RoboCop remake being any good. I can see them getting some big-name star and having all the work done underneath the skin just so they can keep the mask and uniform off.

I think a remake of Robocop can be good if they find a suitable replacement for Peter Weller as Murphy/Robocop.
But who????? You know,it would be cool if Frank Miller did the remake of Robocop,do any of you know the debacle for him that was called Robocop 2??? Someone must bring it up to him perhaps,he can at least try if it get's greenlight.

Since Murphy is practically immortal anyway it wouldn't be a big deal for him to continue on in the present day.

I've never seen Red Dawn so I could give two craps but I have seen Robocop, probably over 100times, so I care alot. No sequel because the first one was perfect.

I can see the cast now.
