Just saw the coolest thing.

Im riding into town and a lawman tells me two prisoners had just escaped and to bring em back dead or alive. I track em down just outside of town, hog tie em and bring em both back to the sheriff. Well i thought the sheriff would put em back in prison, nope, shot both prisoners in the back of the head while they were hogtied. Awesome.

I love the random stuff...I was coming out of the saloon and some guy rides up and tells me they are going to hang his friend....so I ride out, lay the smack down on like 5 guys and shoot the rope....and all the bad guys had plenty of loot

Yeah mine came in the case... only problem is it's not working. I've tried multiple times and it keeps saying "Failed to connect to R* servers try again later" and It's been like that for hours.

Anyone else on the 360 having this problem?

I was having that problem last night, but I tried it again this morning and it worked fine now.

I actually got this yesterday after I shot some random guy.

So I've played a few hours and am really enjoying it, but I totally see where IGN is coming from when their only real criticism is the amount of bugs.

While doing the second Bounty mission, I shot him in the leg and began hog tie'n him, the game glitched a little and the bounty got stuck in the ground. I then tried to pick the bounty up and Marsten picked up nothing and slung it over his shoulder. I couldn't put this nothing down nor could I place it on the horse. The bounty was still on the ground. So my choices were to be killed by the respawning gang members or reload the game.

Also, online is quite glitchy. The character/mount selection screen frequently doesn't show any character models. I'm just scrolling through a list of empty air and choosing. And while trying to take out a gang hideout with some other player occasionally the player controlled characters would disappear leaving us controlling air, and then occasionally the gang members would disappear, letting us shoot air that bleeds.

RDR is definitely a lot of fun, but it really could have used a few more months of polish. Hopefully they will get some patches out there soon.

My first awesome moment to me was when I first got to armadillo a posse was ridding through shooting their guns in the air, It didn't bother me because they weren't hurting anyone so I went on my way. Then one of them throws a lasso around a pedestrian and starts pulling him through the streets on horse back. Now I can't have that, so I turn on dead eye and shoot all 5 of them in the head. My first out of mission kills.

Bugs aside this is one of the best games I have ever played, in my opinion.

I plan on getting it as soon as I can, but sadly video games aren't the only thing I use my disposable income on . I really want to get this and Modnation Racers

Id deff get this before Modnation Racers. Redemption is just one of those titles that needs to be in your collection. There isnt much else like it.

Yea iv seen that happen, the last time i interfered, i got killed.

As for the bugs, in my 8 plus hours i haven't seen any serious glitches. I saw a guy hitch his horse then as he was getting off he was transported, standing, to the horses back, but then he came right back to the ground.

I jumped out of my skin last night because I finished up a mission that helped a girl out in the desert and RIGHT as I said my goodbyes I'm pounced on by a mountain lion or something, I go to get my riffle out and BAM, a second one attacks from behind.

Seriously....I was NOT expecting that...

Also, it's hard to stay good in this game....only because you don't make NEARLY as much money as I imagine you would if you were an outlaw. I'm going to stay proud and true though, hopefully I'll learn HOW to play poker sooner or later and rank in more $$$.

I haven't had any issues with bugs or glitches that some are speaking of...some camera issues but nothing major

The only issue I had was when you race Bonnie early in the game. My horse got stuck on the fence and didn't move....

Also, it's hard to stay good in this game....only because you don't make NEARLY as much money as I imagine you would if you were an outlaw. I'm going to stay proud and true though, hopefully I'll learn HOW to play poker sooner or later and rank in more $$$.

The poker is really fun. You can sometimes tell if someone is bluffing based on how they act, really cool touch. I caught a guy going in with a pair of 3's when there was a straight on the board. I was really impressed to see the game recognize that. The mini games are some of, if not the best in an open world title iv ever played.

Almost the same thing happened to me, except I was cruising around the desert looking for a lady to hog tie (because I read one of the 360 acheivments is you hog tie a lady and throw here on the train tracks and watch her get ran over) Anyway, I see a lady, shes screaming for help, I hop off my horse, she steals it as I'm getting my lasso ready, then as I am standing there trying to figure out what just happened, I get ****ed up from behind by a mountain lion. It was awesome.

This game is ****ing fantastic and every bit as awesome as I hoped it would be. I just roped and broke a wild mustang before gunning down 3 bandits robbing a guy. Then I rode back to town and had some drinks in the saloon before joining a poker game.

So in RDR, like GTA, you can just go anywhere and do anything you want if you don't want to stick to the main mission? Btw, all the things I read in this thread about this game sound awesome and make me really want to get the game now, whereas a few days ago I wasn't contemplating buying this game at all. Too bad I didn't use the $10 discount from Amazon after I purchased SSFIV from that site.

Some bastards killed my horse. I was raiding a gang hide out and i cleared the place out and had 3 surviving gang members hog tied. I whistled for my horse but, nothing. I searched around and i found him, shot dead. Needless to say i was pissed, id had that horse since the start of the game, named him Walter. My plan was just to leave the gang members tied up, but nope, strolled over to em and put a round from my sawed off into the back of each on of their heads. Still didnt bring back Walter. Im gonna try and find a wild black stallion and break it in.

I love the weather effects. I played a Marshall mission during a thunderstorm (which looks and sounds awesome) and then the next day it was raining until the sun broke through the clouds. It all looks really nice.

Can you free-roam once the main story is over? I never played any GTAs so I don't know if you can do that in those games.

I have around the Hanging Rock area....I have a cool golden horse that I broke....her name is Courtney
