After having the game for almost a week, (I had some issues restoring my files to my new 640GB HDD for my PS3, but it's all good now) I finally got the chance to play it last night, yeah yeah I know I suck, but anyways the game is FREAKING AWESOME!!! I love how alive the world feels, I love animals, so of course after doing the first few missions I went on an animal killing spree MUAHAHAHAHAHA, ahem of course it's only a game I would never hurt any animal in real life!!!
Anyways the variety of wild life really struck me, sooooo many different animals around and just the feel of the game, I mean riding into town, going to the Saloon, all that stuff feels authentic!!! I was riding to the next town and suddenly there's a rattle snake on the road so I get off my trusty steed and take it out, suddenly I hear gunshots behind me only to see a dude on a horse going full out after a deer as they cross the road behind me, random stuff like this rocks lol!!! The game is just awesome so far 10/10!!!

This is one of the most immersive games iv ever played. I mean the amount of content is unreal.

Has anyone come across anything completely random in the world? I found a hillbilly chasing an armadillo when a mountain lion jumped off a rock and mauled him to death.

I have not played red dead yet but judging by the hype. It's going to come down to RDR and Reach.

I'm loving this game. Loving it. But Mass Effect 2 will probably be my personal Game of the Year. That or Portal 2 I imagine.

i cant seem to figure out how to mark people when your in deadeye.

What phase of Dead Eye do you have? There's 3 phases. The first just slows down time, the second allows you to mark parts of the individual and the 3rd, well i dont know what the 3rd does. I dont like the marking feature tho, just moving your reticle over the enemy automatically adds a mark and sometimes it marks something i dont want it to mark, ie a horse.

I was tracking a bounty and i came upon his camp and i was on a ridge and directly below me was a guy pissing. I didnt let him finish.

i have the same issue. i meant to injure a guy by shooting him in the leg, but ended up pretty much tearing him in half with my gun.

be more careful....if you only want to shoot one dead eye shot, just mark one thing and pull the trigger

ah k, ya i just started the game so im still lvl one. i was thinking you had to hit a button to mark people tho

Yea thats what i try to do, but sometimes ill move over more body parts than i wanted or ill target the guys horse and i have to then reset my dead eye and try again. I like the first level of dead eye more than the second. Anyone know what the 3rd level grants?

Anyone have any tips for dueling?

Like the two meters on the right hand side of the screen? What exactly are they?

I dont have a problem winning the duels, but i want to be able to not kill my opponent. The last time i tried just to put one shot on the guys pistol hand but that didnt seem to work and i got shot.

I'm in a dilemma guys...I have 60 bucks to burn and I can get this game but I can also get 3 other games from Fight night round 4, Batman Arkham, Bioshock 2, GTA episodes, NBA2K10. Is Red better than getting those 3 games selected?
