Speaking mostly early game here (Ranch, Armadillo, and Thieves' Landing, while still taking jobs from the Marshal and Bonnie, for the most part), what have people been using for weapons?

Also, to anyone starting out: You'll get a Winchester Repeater and a Sawed-off Shotgun for free. No need to buy them.

I stuck with the cattlemans revolver and sawd off as well as the winchester. Still use them now, altho iv switched to the repeater revolver. I was pretty pissed when i bought the winchester because literally the next mission i got it for free, haha.

bit of a weird thing I noticed....if you go and hunt down a bounty, you can cut down on his guys pursuing you buy taking out all but one of the first group that chases you....just shoot his horse out from under him and leave him there....you won't get chased by anyone else....or at least ive gotten that lucky so far

Yup. I've noticed that. It's probably to prevent overwhelming you.

Man, idk what it is, but Mexico's kind of...eh. I don't like teaming up and getting to know the rebels then having to
Burn their homes and shoot the women.
It goes against the "Man with no Name but Morals" thing im pushing for lol.

I think this game will make me like westerns, like how Left 4 Dead made me like zombies.

Onto Treasure #3:)Goddamn this game is fun!Trying to max out my treasure hunter skill

A duel tourny would be awesome. I just wish there was a balance of duels in western games; Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood over did it where as Red Dead isn't doing it enough, Neither game lets you go one on one onine.

True. My dad got COJ for himself, he beat the campaign once. But I can't play it, because I don't know how to duel. I want to though, it looks like a good game.

Now I am on #4:)The area is by Rio Del Toro in Mexico.Hidden behind a wall by a tree with a cow skull on it:)

actually im on #6 and in the journal it gives you the general area....smack me for not reading thoroughly

I hate escort missions, but they don't make them ridiculous in this game

I'm on treasure #4. Can't do it, because I haven't opened the bridges to Mexico yet.

On another note, these freaking mountain cougars need to go sit on a cactus.

You cant buy new outfits. You can sometimes buy "scraps" of an outfit. A scrap is a challenge you have to complete before you can unlock an outfit. For instance one of the "scraps" for the Deadly Assassin Outfit is "Search Coots Chapel" so you have to go to Coots Chapel and find a treasure box in order to get that scrap.

but for some of the outfits, like the one that allows you to apparently cheat in poker, it says simply to get it at theives landing?

but yeah, what are all of your favorite outfits? i quite like the gentleman one; looks spiffy.

yea, that one you can just pick up, the rest have little side quests and challenges

seriously people it isn't rocket science...if you go to the screen with the outfits, it will give you the tasks you need to do to get the items...you can turn on tracking that will give you a general for each task you need to accomplish

I'm a big fan of the Duster coat. I want a new hat, though.

If you already have the elegant suit and you want more dueling, cheat at poker and get caught. You'll duel every time.

Thank you sir!!!

By the way, PSN: JoeVonZombie
