Red Sonja

Veronica Ferres to Play Mother of Red Sonja in New Reboot – The Hollywood Reporter

German star Veronica Ferres (Rossini, Crisis, Salt & Fire) has joined the cast of sword and sorcery reboot Red Sonja.

Ferres will play the mother of Red Sonja and the Goddess Ashera in the new film, which is being pitched as more an adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s original Marvel comic than a reboot of the 1985 feature starring Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 80s film was a notorious flop. Producers Millennium Media are also handling international sales.

Any updates on this film? Hope it’s still happening lol

Has anybody heard anything from the SDCC panel?
Allegedly there was a Trailer shown but i cant seem to find anything on it.
I dont even find a live ticker or so, anything that speaks about what was happening during the panel.

Why is she wearing Batman's eye makeup?

Eh, it looks fun and ok-isssh.

Listen, mane. I will take Matilda Lutz in anything! Fully support her any way I can. She deserves much better roles, so I’ll take anything I can. Always.

she has pockets in that outfight?

Listen, I give this thing points for actually getting made after years and years of Development Hell.

I think it looks fun too actually.

Looks like a TV pilot unfortunately - for a series that would probably get cancelled after a few episodes.

Eh I will watch it. Looks to have a strong lead and I don't mind low budget fare at all. Really liked the likes of Solomon Kane and the last Hellboy movie.

I watched the trailer a couple of times. The trailer editing is the most annoying thing about it but I don’t hate it overall. But then again I’m predisposed to the sword & sorcery genre type stuff, even if it’s a generic-looking plot here. The lead seems game (not bad) at least.

Big fan of Solomon Kane. Same director, strong lead, and it looks decent. I'm definitely in.
