Just a quick question on something I don't have as much experience with but has anyone here dated someone outside of their living area and had trouble connecting or relating because of regional differences.

You are from the North, she's from the south. Different countries, different part of the country or even long distance relationships. I'd like to hear some of your stories to relate to a friend.

My wife was NYC born and raised while I was raised on the West Coast. No issues here.

My college was 30 minutes away and while I have dated girls from the Pennsyvania and the Midwest, I noticed some differences but nothing that really bothered me.

Remember. . . if it's a different area code it doesn't count as cheating. . .

only 30 mins?

fair enough.

I don't think there is anyone i've dated that has been all, same race, location and upbringing as myself.

it's only ever a problem if you decide to make it one.

you do get regional stereotypes for women though but generally i feel that if you are out to look for a specific type of person, then you are bound to find them anywhere.

that is in the UK at least.

I went out with a girl from liverpool and the fact that i was born not far from birmingham meant our phone conversations were pretty much "im sorry what did u say?" that was our only problem plus she was to hot for me!
