"Hey, I get it. For you that's clever!"

I felt kind of bad for Doc Kafka when she got blasted. Electro's more of a... reprobate now. Season One, he just wanted a cure. Now he's pretty full on evil. That kind of saddened me because he lost some depth. Much as I love the Sin6, a few of it's members seem to be losing their individual luster. Mostly him and Vulture. Does he still even have it in for Osbourne? I hope the villains see some more development. It feels like some are just riding out what they went through in season 1.
Remember Vulture got away. He will probably continue his vendetta against Osborn. Since this is a Master Planner arc the focus is solely on Spiderman for all the villains. They will all probably go back to their own personal goals like Sandman getting his Big Score.

yea very well written review dread, love to read your reviews.

Heh, something I just noticed from a re-watch, one of the little bats shouted "Where's your Christmas spirit?" at Spidey, while another said something about calling his laywer.

I love this show.

Not next week. There's a Wolverine and The X-Men marathon in its place. The following week is the new episode.

I see. Guess we'll have to wait an extra week then.

ANother great writer-up, Dread!

Thanks!

I got a question isn't Masterplanner an Alias for Doc Ock?

Indeed, it is. Least in the Lee/Ditko era comics, and others.

Another theory about Master Planner, beyond the idea that Ock is doing an "act" at Ravencroft to throw people off, or is a split personality, is that the Ock at Ravencroft is Chameleon. He was pretty much part of the trio of Tinkerer and Beck last season, after all. He escaped prison last season, too. While he wasn't a match in a fight against Spider-Man, he would serve the, ahem, master plan well in other areas.

Yeah, there are always great little nods and tidbits to warrant repeat viewing.

Decent episode, but a few things were bothersome...

The animation and choreography did not seem quite as fluid as other episodes like the previous fight with the Sinister Six or even the previous episode introducing Kraven. The two at a time strategy was somewhat lame and gave Spidey a big advantage, but maybe this is part of the Master Planner's master plan. Also, at times, it seemed like Spidey just stood there and let his adversaries hit him, particularly Sandman and Rhino. It also bugged me that after all the punishment Spidey takes during the fight, he comes out of it looking and acting totally fine/uninjured. I would have thought some of those hits and spills would have left him barely conscious.

Still, despite those gripes, the dialog was great as usual, and I can't wait to see the next episode!

I disagree. The symbiote took on all six villains at once where as Peter was only fighting them two at a time, and had to basically trick them into defeating themselves. The symbiote loses nothing. It beat them out of sheer force, where as Peter had to use his wits, and probably wouldn't have stood a chance against all 6.

Kraven did well the week before, and if he wasn't such a moron trying to be the "alpha male finishing off the prey" he would have probably done just as well. But he foolishly got himself blasted by Mysterio's trap.
Although the symbiote did face off against all six at once it won by some ingenuity and separating the six into smaller groups.

And by being a tad more vicious than Peter usually is.

Great episode! I found that last shot of Ock yelling up the building while the tentacle were dragging him away to be haunting.

Saw, Kassidy, that was great, hope he doesn't become Carnage though, but he probably will.

Yeah, considering he comes back in the Venom Arc, I wouldn't be surprised to see some sPidey 3 references there. It'd be interesting if this Sandman also had a sick daughter and ex-wife. Actually as I recall, Vulture had a similar storyline in one of the comics, though I think he was just robbing banks to pay child support to his girlfriend and son.

But the symbiote used them to trick each other more. It's not like he forced himself on them, he used each of them to take out the other pretty much as well.

the 2 by 2 SHOULD be worse because they don't get in each other's way, they've learnt from the last time and they should be wearing peter out by the last batch. Even after getting smacked around by rhino and sandman, he came out pretty bad. Pete took a pretty bad beating in this ep, far worse than the symbiote ever took and came out winning.

spidey should never win a six confrontation on physical grounds, whether it's all at once or one at a time, he either gets overwhelmed or simply worn out. He either outwits them, takes some out separately or runs away.

WHAT! :cmad:

Oh man, we have to wait an extra week? That sucks!!!! :csad:

Best episode of Season 2 so far, entertaining battles. Too bad that Spidey only takes on 2 of them at once...

'Master Planner's master plan' is getting old though...

Great cameo by Cassidy :D

I think everyone may know the Master Planner is Ock. Or hell, they could totally play some ***** with us.

I remember beingg tricked with the Goblin identity. First I thought it was Norman then harry, then switched.

It is Norman. Why do you think they're having another Goblin unmasking at the end of this season? Wouldn't be much point showing us Harry again, unless it's someone else who's under that mask.

I wonder who it could be :cwink:

Huh, we haven't seen his Master Plan yet. All of this is just leading up to the big finale.

If they ever do Kraven's Last hunt i hope to God he changes back to his human form retaining his abilities . I hate this damn Thundercat.

Hey, maybe someone can answer this question....

I asked earlier, but...how come Electro needed help this time with his cuffs?

my guess with electro's cuffs is maybe they designed them to be stronger then the last time.

Yeah, pretty much. They wouldn't have put them back on if they remained ineffective. I wonder, does Electro even eat anymore? They showed him having trouble drinking coffee in ep two but if by ep ten he learned to "safely conduct his powers through water" I wonder if he found some means of safely drinking. Like through a straw? And if he does eat& drink, I ask the infamous Rhino question; How does he use the bathroom?

Clearly they'll have it revealed as Emily...
