My God ! I can't believe how good this show is ! ! ! ! This final episode was awesome, outstanding, amazing ! the animation is great, the acting is soooo great ! The music is dramatic when there needs to be, rock and aggressiv when there is a need, soo great ! So the designs are great and above all, IMO, they surely KNOW how to handle the rythm and the twists.
I could not believe how great the Goblin/Norman is ! Amazing ! I loved the escalation : how they treat vilains. For example, when spiderman is battling shocker or Rhino it is about fight, battling tombstone is about action/being fast/rescue loved ones and about Green Goblin ? it is about the ultimate fight in the whole city the best action, the best ideas, the best acting.
This show rocks.
Scorpion has always been a favorite of mine. can't wait to see how they'll handle it.

Wow oh WOW was this episode GREAT, I dont usually rate things so hight but man this deserved a 10/10.

I honestly could not keep up with what was going on, I thought I had it all figured that Norman was GG all along but they threw me so many curveballs that eventually I remembered a poster once suggested that GG was Harry's Mom all along. But then the big reveal came and it was brilliant. The animation and action was stunning and the characterization on point! Solid Ending to a fantastic season!

I really hope they order another season as season 2 was a big improvement on season 1(which I loved) so hopefully this show will get better and better.

Great episode, albeit they went with the Howard Mackie Norman Osborn. It is a good interpretation of the character, but the original one could be more interesting. Albeit, I do look forward to Norman coming back, figuring out who Spidey is and he and Peter having to pretend not to know who the other is.

But yeah, I will say that the voice acting and writing of GG in TAS was better, but at least he beat Hobby to the screen. ;)

^^^^^

You thought Neil Ross was better than Steve Blum?

Oh I beg to differ.:oldrazz:

I also thought Doc Ock, Dr. Conners, JJJ and Black Cat had better voices in TAS. On Spidey's voice they're tied. Otherwise I am going to give the majority (as in all the rest) to the new show. Albeit Hank Azaria was a fine Venom and the double-voice was cooler as well.

Ock & JJJ I'll agree with you on. But Black Cat? I thought Jennifer Hale's "hero" voice for Black Cat sounded far too arrogant to be likeable. I thought Tricia Helfer was perfectly casted as Black Cat.

I think Peter MacNicol's performance has vastly improved from Reactions to Shear Strength.

I have to say, since norman seems so sneaky in this show, especially as the show whent on, I think that holds really great possibilities for great Osborn/Goblin stories in the future.

Agreed, in Reactions his anger was far too overbearing in his performances. But since then he's managed to put some restraint in his performance a little, though I do love it when he shouts out ARACHNID every now and then.
Though I still put the Spider-Man 2 version of Doc Ock as the best interpretation of the character.

Ah, I love Jennifer Hale as BC. I still hear undisputably her voice when I read a comic with her in it. Agree to disagree, but that is the BC voice, IMO.

Completely agreed. The voice is perfect.

I liked Jennifer Hale as Felicia Hardy, they did great things with her in the 90's toon. I just didn't care for her arrogant hero voice.

I didn't think her "hero" voice was a problem. I still kinda hear her voice when associated with black cat. However. The way she was written when she was leaving with morbius and when she was called upon for the secret wars was what annoyed me. Not so much arrogant, but self righteous.

I think a bit of arrogance in Cats voice is a good thing. It plays to the character well.

Yeah, I didn't like that. She chose Morbius over Spider-Man?! That's one of the things I hated in STAS. By the way, did Black Cat ever like Morbius in the comic?

Hey does anyone remember when Norrman said sorry to Spider-Man? I watch the episode and I never heard "Norman" apologize.

Also I tend to learn words from this show mostly from Doc Ock...but what does the real Norman say after Peter says that Harry's hurt leg was real? He says "More ------" I keep hearing serengeti but that's just a plain in Tanzania...

I guess that word was to make up for Peter not saying the Black Suit could 'Augment' his Spider powers. Wow, Serendipity....

About Norman's revelation, I love the fact that they didn't need to "spoon feed" everyone on what happened during the time that the things were going on. They dropped hints and clues everywhere. For example "Norman" going through the front door at work and downloading files from his laptop. "Norman's" "What'd HE steal?!" Then Goblin staring Norman down and laughing. Honestly would they have wasted our time with all of those little things if Norman WASN'T the Goblin? They still fooled people with all of that (not me of course)! I love this show so much! I may be over analyzing things but Norman's "limp" and Harry's limp were different...or atleast it seemed watching the flashbacks back to back.

They could've made it a bit more action-y by having in 'Opening Night' The Green Goblin kidnap the Black Cat. And in this episode he could've attached her by Gob-Webs to one of those pumpkin bomb filled water-towers and he'd remote activate the countdown for an explosive that sets it off (courtesy of Morris Bench from Shear Strengh). And to end the battle Spidey could attach the bomb like before but Gobby would disappear when he spins out of control and down the building horizon and he decides getting Cat back was better than figuring out Gobby's true identity, then Cat being grateful secretly forgives him and she pulls his mask high enough to kiss him, much to Spidey's surprise.

What do you guys think? Too story-ish or what?

Black Cat wasn't needed here. And adding another character to that mix would've took focus away from the characters that had the spotlight in this episode. Namely Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, and Harry Osborn. Those 3 characters were the focus of this episode, and rightfully so.

In fairness they could've figured out Gobby's TRUE identity in Season 3. We're just adding Black Cat to the mix and Season Finale. I'll be happy if maybe they devote a Season 3, 4 or 5 arc to Black Cat. I just want to know they aren't planning on making her the 'Catwoman' of this season, like Catwoman was a reccuring character in 'The Batman' I'd like to see more of her. It would show she's not a MINOR character, but a love interest to Spidey. But then thats just me. With my crazy ideas.
