Release In Imax Theaters ! There Is A God !!!!

Question: My buddy (who knows quuuuite a bit about film as a whole) clamis that if you see this film in IMAX you'll actually be missing MORE of the film than if you were to view it in a standard theater?

Can someone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks!

They sometimes shed some stuff.
But I saw Happy Feet and I don't think they cut anything. I think it depends on the length of the film.
Since this is a pretty short on I don't think they will.

Oh no man, I think my buddy means not the actual running time is cut, but some of the actual scenes are cut off rather...as in you don't see the whole film you know?

I wonder if that's the case...?

You mean like fullscreen instead of widescreen? I heard its going to be widescreen.

This is BS!
There are two Imax theatres in my area, and neither are playing 300.
One is owned by Pat Robertson, so the reason for that is obvious.
And the other is still playing Happy Feet.
AAHH!!!

Damn, that sucks. The closest one to me is Tampa, but I got a reguler theatre not even 2 miles away from my apartment.

What the hell does Pat Robertson need an IMAX for? "God wanted him to have one"? I hate that jerk.

I went online to see who was playing this movie, as I looked I notice something. The amount of show per theater, 1 theater was showing 300 twenty times.About tem theater were sold out of tickets. All the shows were sold out in ten theater. It's really starting to look like SPARTA!

Looks like they've been adding more locations...international included.
Come on DC...*crosses fingers*
Locations for 300

Hmmmm, odd the link seems to be not working.

Anyway...Well since the closet Imax playing is in Pa. I'll be getting my ticket tomorrow from here. It's the largest screen in the area. :) I got my ticket for tonight.

He owns the museum that it's attached to.
The locals love to call him "The village idiot"
