    Why does it need to be remade?


    I remember hearing around the time between Episode 2 & 3 Mel Brooks was talking of doing a prequel to Spaceballs to make fun of the Star Wars prequels. Guess it fell through cause I've never heard any new news on it.

    Nope. Space Balls sucked in 1987, and a remake would most certainly suck today.

    I would rather see the once proposed Prequel, or sequel (Spaceballs 2: The Search for more Money) than a remake.
