They better not take my tax dollars to pay for reparations for something I have never done.

Apparently there is a group that introduces this every year so that is good news...I guess it was right wing pandering to attack the left because this happens every year and this is the first that I have ever heard about it:

I would actually be willing to give money to those that were in slavery....
But um....they are all dead...I would not be willing to give money to those that were NOT in slavery...kids...grandkids...etc...

I don't want any of my money going to people that didn't work for it.

My family has only been here for less than 100 years. I had nothing to do with that.

Yes, by allowing those in and under poverty to live without any Tax Liability, they would have an easier time lifting themselves out of it. AND lower the Middle Class would have a lower Tax Liability than the Rich. So, THEY would have an easier time lifting themselves out if their issues. If you can receive 100% of your Paycheck, AND education K through PHD is considered and investment, therefore UnTaxable, it helps all people get the education they desire.

So, yes, the FairTax would help Minorities achieve their Economic goals.

If there were reparations, who would get them? Just because someone is black, doesn't mean they're descended from slaves, and if we go far back enough, plenty of whites are descended from slaves.

And none of my money better go toward "reparations" for some lazy asses who won't work for it and think they can steal it from someone else by cooking up some "reparations"/"collective guilt" cash grab nonsense like goes on between Israel and Germany.

So what about the victims of the Holocaust? Quite a few of them are dead, but their families receive money. As for Reparations? I'm not sure where I stand on that issue honestly.

But to play Devils Advocate here. Wouldn't be fair that African Americans receive something especially after Slavery and Jim Crow laws?

The only way I would ever say yes to this, is if my ancestors who were Native Americans, worked with Native Americans, and walked the Trail of Tears with Native Americans get what they deserve for the utter genocide that was heaped upon them.
