Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicles Wii revealed

Famitsu has lifted the lid on a new Resident Evil game for Wii, entitled Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicles.


Nothing is known about the game other than its format, although screenshots in the scan of Famitsu magazine pictured (via Wii Everyday) hint that it could be set in the Resident Evil 2 plotline and star Chris and Claire Redfield.

It's also believed to be another on-rails shooter in the same vein as Umbrella Chronicles, with reduced difficulty levels. And if those shots are anything to go by, it's going to look quite nice, too.

They still kicked us in the balls. They promised us announcements yesterday and nothing happened.

I think the seqel to Umbrella Chronicles is a pretty awesome announcement considering how much i liked the first. But to each his own....a great announcement to one is crap to another.

I'll be keen to give Darkside a go. The updated look on Claire as well as Leon looks great.

And there's a rumour going round that Capcom have expressed interest in remaking RE2. I bloody well hope so. May as well remake RE3 at the same time and release it as a package deal. After all both games are set within the same time frame. But if both games end up on the Wii which control method should be utilised. The classic Survival Horror mode or the updated over the shoulder control scheme like in RE4/5. If they remade it like RE4/5 they should make the game harder by adding more Zombies.

I'm not to psyched to play as Krauser. He was pretty much a stock villain and instead of using him they should've just tied upm the loose end that was Nicholai.

Didn't they already remake RE2 for Gamecube?

I think they'll port that to Wii as they have done with RE1 and RE0.

I really need to play RE4. Probably going to get it this weekend.

No, they didn't remake RE2 for the Cube. It was just a port with slightly better textures.



I never understood why they never remade RE2. Didn't the remake of RE1 sell well enough or what was the reason? If they ever get around to make this remake, I hope the gameplay will be like RE5 and not just a remake with better graphics.

Wow, that looks terrible. That's probably due after RE0 for the Archives series so hopefully it gets a massive overhaul.

It won't get an overhaul of any sort, it'll be as straight up-a port of RE1 and 0 that the archive versions are. But that shouldn't stop you from buying that simply awesome game any less, RE2 is a triumph.
