Even though he's a cheating son of a *****...and a callous bastard for basically doing Emma over Jean's grave (metaphorically speaking), I still have mad respect for him for the first 35 years of his character.

I only have a handful of X-Men comics and none of the ones I have have Cyclops in it. I can only go off the movies. He was an alright guy in the movies, he was just Wolverine's beyotch. Does Cyclops really listen to NSync or Backstreet Boys or whoever the hell was coming out of his car radio?

Dude, I'm also positive you did this once already.

This kinda makes me want to start picking up one of the X-Men books.

Which one is the best as of now to jump on?

Start making my way through the ninties tomorrow for more scans

Well as you can tell here, he is nobodies beyotch in the comics. In answer to your question though; I have no idea what kind of music Cyclops is into.

It was about time. Too many people forget what a bad-ass Cyclops was on the X-Men before it was mandated that he take a back seat to Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, and Gambit. I started out as a Wolverine fanboy as a kid but as I have gotten older, went to college and read more reprints, my liking for Cyclops has grown considerably, while I have seriously tired of Wolverine in some ways.

And I miss Millar's Ultimate Cyclops. Every writer since has sissified him more. Even Vaughan was guilty of that. Ultimate Cyclops used to be my favorite character in Ultimate X-Men.

Glad you remembered MARVEL/DC ALL ACCESS #4 (I think). Yes, Cyclops beat Batman, and it wasn't fan-voted. :p

Oh, and it was great you showed that clip from X-MEN EVOLUTION. It is a shame the DVD releases have been terrible and it hasn't reaired in the U.S. because that show had what is arguably the most appealing version of Cyclops ever put to another medium. He is a leader without being stuffy. He has angst but he still does things like a normal teenager, like joke, blow off homework, blast his radio or be attracted by girls. He finds the Danger Room easier to get a grip on than his social life at times. The show actually made him a sort of appealing everyman, and not in the "weenie" sense of the word. Unfortunately, because most of the cast are teenagers and it wasn't the 90's show, many fans dismissed it.

Geez, Cyclops has killed a lot more people than I realized. Kind of makes his line about X-Men not shooting people in AXM seem ironic and a little sad.

He' killed ugly John (on purpose) and Bezerker (by accident). Apocalypse and Sinister survived their 'deaths' (so they don't really count). The Mandroids both survived. Cameron Hodge can't be killed (by conventional means).

Still, his line is a bit ironic. He's shot people with lethal force in mind on several occasions. It's no big deal, though. The X-Men as a whole haven't been the absolutely-no-killing type of heroes for a long time anyway.

All of Scott's feats in this thread would've been better if he were wearing the Quitely costume for them, by the way. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
