He does have pretty awesome resume there. I don't think we'll see any stuff from Logan's Run for a good while.

I dont think we will ever see it.:csad:

Don't give up hope. From i've been reading they've basically designed and previzualized the entire movie already.

I remember Singer saying though that should Supes be green-lit, he'd pour all his efforts into getting that done and that LR would be suspended at least until he's done with Supes. He might really want to silence the negativity he received for SR, so I wouldn't be suprised if he tables LR entirely to concentrate his efforts.

With SR, that documentary, House, et al, Singer said he'd never put himself in a position where he's doing that much again.

That's what's so frustrating about it.:cmad:
If Singer doesnt direct, will another director just get rid of all that work?
I guess if Singer stays on as producer it's possible they'll stay but...
I did like those rumors of Mcteigue taking it over though.:hyper:

I read in a article that the Wachowski brothers next film Speed Racer has taken over the production offices that used to house Logan's Run. I think thats a sign that the project has been put on ice.

Singer said he didn't want to jump straight into something so gigantic after SR so unless they hire a new director its on hold. He's been working on that movie for 4/5 years now? So that probably wasnt an easy decision.

Mcteigue wouldn't be a bad choice. I hope that Singer at least stays on board as producer if thats the case.

Yeah I read that too.
Singer also has The Mayor of Castro St set up at Warners and the tv deal with ABC. I dont see when he's gonna get the time.
You're right though...I can hope. :woot:

Oh yeah he's got a few smaller projects in development too. I wonder if he'll pull a Nolan and direct something smaller before he jumps into SR2?

Im betting on MOCS getting made, it should basically be a small drama that wont take much of a budget and will probably end up being controversial.

These are truly STUNNING images. AMAZING stuff!

Were these scenes actually filmed? If so... why the bejeezus were they cut? (Rhetorical question since I'm sure nobody knows.) *sigh*

my hypothesis is that they'll be rendered in 3D for IMAX, and also used as an intro for the main baddie in the Supes sequel. Thus, saving at least 10-15 million dollars that have already been spent, and giving us what looks to be a hell of a sequence.

Yes it was filmed and it was about 5-6 minutes long.:csad:

Byran has crappy reason for cutting it though. But as has been said before in the long run it may be a blessing in disguise for the sequel.:o

Truly beautiful designs, aside from the green glow on the ship interior which is too kryptonite-like (as the designer himself says).

And what was that about Lex's alternate FOS grown from seabed minerals? Do they mean what was on the New Krypton island?

Such a terrible shame this sequence was cut!

How can it be part of the sequel? Will it be flashing back to his Krypton voyage? Seems odd for the sequel to flash back to the film before it...

i think that if they would only filmed this stuff half of us wouldnt have a problem.

the problem is that they filmed, finished the effects and finished the music for those scenes :csad:

p.s. i remember reading that the set of the spaceship was one of the most complicated sets in history. hey who am i kidding. i know exactly where 200 milions were spend.

Let's go Brainiac.:yay:

That scene would have been...amazing on the BIG SCREEN. I can just see the images and hear the Krypton theme, and having Superman remember some of his fathers words. Truly the whole POINT of Superman Returns, was left out of the movie.

Someone scanned this pic back in the summer of expensive set for the sequence. Not sure who so apoligies for not providing credit.

Singer even posed in the ship...

They could have the villain follow him back to earth? He was in in cryo sleep in the ship so he wouldn't even be aware of the potential threat lurking in the shadows.

or they could use it as a dream sequence...

Man, I really like that Pod Suit, it's one of my favorites.
