What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, has a bed but never sleeps?

^something about a river or something

A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis:
The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.
The Butler was cleaning the closet.

The police instantly arrested the murdered. Who did it and how did they know?

^the maid. mail doesn't come on sunday.

You have just died. You walk down a dark path until you come to two identical doors. One goes to Heaven and one goes to Hell. There are two identical sisters there. One can only tell the truth. One can only tell a lie. You dont know which one is which. You can only ask ONE question to ONE girl. Which question do you ask.

"which door would the other sister say i should pick?" and then you take the other door.

you still wouldn't be able to distinguish which one was telling the truth, or who was standing by which door.

i feel there is also something missing from this puzzle...

Something of that sort was in the movie Labyrinth with Jennifer Connelly.

Sorry for the late answer, Timezones suck.

You would ask either guard "If I were to ask the other guard which is the door to heaven what would he say?"

No matter which guard you asked you would choose the other door.

or

if the girl says 'she would say yes' you dont go in that door, because it would be hell. If 'she would say no' then its the right door.
But the answer I was going to give was 'If I were to ask you is this the door to heaven, what would you say'...then you go in the door if she says yes. Because the truth-girl would say yes to the right door, the lying-girl would answer yes, which is a lie and means her real answer would be no, which means it is the right door. Your solution was the same, just inverted.
