🇺🇸 Ridin’ with Biden: It's Joever

US News
Biden is going to hand over the presidency in 2024 then blame progressives or anything but himself for it.

Biden nominates JFK's daughter Caroline Kennedy to be ambassador to Australia

U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday nominated Caroline Kennedy to be U.S. ambassador to Australia and Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan as ambassador to Belize, the White House said.

Kennedy, 64, is the daughter of John Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States who was assassinated in 1963. She previously served as U.S. ambassador to Japan.

Kwan is the winner of two silver Olympic medals in figure skating. She has served as an adviser to the U.S. Department of State on women’s issues.

I loathed Trump but actually admire how he bullied so many Senators into getting all his dumb **** through, wish the Democrats had that same spine.
He's one of the worst human beings. But yep, he understood that he had power and a mandate from the voters of his party. And he threw his sizable weight around. Biden is so inert, while everyone makes excuse for him. Which would only make sense if he did do everything he could. And none of this "he's doing it behind the scenes" stuff. We know what he does behind the scenes. Tells his donors nothing's going to change. And look at where we are. Nothing's changing .

I don't think so. I think it's pretty clear that BBB is a key part of his re-election and minimizing mid-term losses (not to mention voting rights legislation). If it doesn't pass, we have 100% clarity as to why. I don't think Biden is at odds with the progressive caucus to anywhere close to the extent he is with the Manchin/Sinema wing. For obvious reasons, he won't publicly berate them, but it's pretty clear he has major disagreements with them.

And we don't know what he's doing behind the scenes unless we happen to have a lot more access than I think we do. You can guess and color it so that it matches what you believe, but it's just that.....a guess.

It sounds like the tax credits may be in trouble and I can only hope something can be worked out on that. It's baffling to me that senators would not support raising taxes on billionaires one cent, but don't have a problem putting families back into poverty levels. Well, it's not really baffling, but speaks to their character and decency. The voting rights passage seems more hopeful. I thought initially that they would hang their hat on this WRT removing the filibuster as it directly affect THEIR chances of re-election and that, of course, is more important than families being able to put food on the table or keep a roof over their heads.

It would appear that the senate can actually move quickly if they think it's important.

They (GQP and Manchin and Sinema) pass nearly a $800B a year increased 'defense' spending without a thought as to how to pay for it with taxes or tax enforcement and decry spending packages that clock in at a fourth or less of that cost a year along with tax hikes and increased enforcement as unviable.

They cry and cry about the holiness of the filibuster and that the republic will fall apart if it's changed, yet there have been over a hundred exceptions done to it in the past along with some recent ones including for the debt ceiling.

It's all gaslighting.

Ah Politics!

Please. Trump did ****. Any legislative accomplishments that happened were because of McConnell. And even then, in the big attempts that only needed 50 votes when they had 52, half of them failed.
