🇺🇸 Ridin’ with Biden: It's Joever

US News
Michelle Obama/Kamala Harris ticket with Michelle saying (internally) "EF this S***. I'll do this one time and I'm out." solves a lot of problems, but, folks.......it ain't happening.
Too bad. :(

This whole situation just makes me sad and angry. Biden is a good man. Not perfect by any means. But sincerely cares for people unlike his opponent. Tries to find common ground. Time unfortunately comes for everyone. I just wish he had remained a transitional president like he originally said and let the voters choose a younger candidate.

Be sure that Biden is an awful human being. He might look good by comparison to his peers, but he's an awful human being.

He likely raped Tara Reade, he regularly sniffs little girls, he didn't back Anita Hill, he didn't discourage his son from being a deadbeat dad and didn't back the mother of his grandchild until his donors got on his case, his major legacy as senator is making student loans immune to bankruptcy, he was known as the Senator from MBNA, and he's backed catastrophic wars of pointless deaths in Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, and Gaza.

The notion of him being a folksy grandpa is propaganda. He's an awful man, a neocons warmonger abroad and a neoliberal economic fascist at home.

Dude you're like more than 4 years too late on this train. Every Progressive on this board pointed this stuff out back in 2019 and 2020 when we were pushing Senators Warren and Sanders to win the nomination over Biden.

I liked Warren.

I hope we have someone good in 2028.

My biggest concern is that I don’t see Kamala gaining votes, but I can see her losing them.

Your concern with fundraising is why I don’t think someone like Beshear would be the first choice. He is a great, young and energetic face that people could get enthused about and would win over middle of the road voters (and actually could pull in some of the evangelicals as well, given that he is a liberal Democrat but also a church deacon who wears an authentic faith on his sleeve). But he also needs introduction to Joe blow who doesn’t follow up and coming politicians.

Michelle is a brand name who is beloved. She would easily win the presidency if she ran. She probably knows it. The question will be: would she do it out of obligation to the country to avoid a Trump presidency?

What is with people trying to force Michelle to run for office? She is not a politician. She never has been. Barry is still paying for his decision to run.

Michelle has no experience or training in governing or statecraft. She may be a very likable charismatic women, but a good President that does not make.

Forcing her to run? Me? All I’m saying is that that’s the strongest ticket. The election season would be short and she could pretty much bail. She’s not gonna do it, I never said she should, and the decision would be completely hers. It’s a decision, by the way, that she’s already made.

And a good president surrounds themselves with good people.

Beyonce just needs to let the poor woman out of her basement. We need a strong black woman to save the world, DK! Flabby mom arms and all!

Note - Nixon campaigned on "law and order." Trump is campaigning as a felon that inspired an insurrection where most of the country statistically agrees that the charges are justified. Both basically are also incumbents since - also historically of note - it's rare for a President who loses to campaign again to return to office.

Guess not everything "lines up."

I still believe Biden is gonna end up stepping down. I just do.

Hopefully. I genuinely at this point in time cannot see him winning, unless - like all prior polls - Trump has been given a ten point handicap that just isn't showing up in the polls (ergo red mirage on the Republican 2024 primary). That said, I'd prefer a more concrete rather than holding onto my wish that there are hidden numbers that haven't been taken into account yet.

This is such an absurd election. The other guy is a certified maniac, but I'm not so excited about pawpaw having to go to bed early either. This is an excruciatingly difficult job, and the world is on fire.

That is absolute crazy talk. We have not gotten to Labor Day and people are fretting Biden loses re-election— the election is FOUR MONTHS AWAY, which is an eternity in politics.

Have people forgotten how Trump was responsible for the Dobbs decision— and how he proudly owns it? How he basically murdered 800K people because of his willful mishandling of Covid? That’s not something sensible folks forget because of Biden having a bad debate.

Obama and Reagan whiffed their first debates for re-election and won despite that. Why are people ignoring that? Stop listening to MSM fear mongering. Biden is boring and drama free, they want to tear him down with a manufactured crisis.

How about people stop listening to Biden apologists and stop claiming there are grand conspiracy theories against him whenever anyone mentions legitimate concerns about him running?

Concerns that have been mentioned by his own staff and even long time friends of the Biden family (some of which have also voiced their own worries), are they “falling for the MSM” too?

To Biden die hard loyalists, the sky could fall and they would still say “everything is fine” while the house burns down around them.

There’s only so much one can say “we’re only x months away from the election!” Guaranteed those saying that now will do so two and even one month away.

Due to this many justifiably want to take preventive measures instead of risking it all on the hope that an old man doesn’t continue to noticeably become old.
