Rest in PEACE Shelley Duvall. A damn fine actor. She was born to play Olive Oyle in the excellent movie POPEYE. She had a hard life in the end. I recommend you find the TWILIGHT ZONE episode "A Saucer full of Loneliness" to see a magnificent performance from her.

If cancer was a person, I would punch it in the face repeatedly until my hand was pulp, then I would take my other hand to do the very same thing and then send him into a pit of salt and then into a wood chipper.

Shannon Doherty , like Shelley Duvall was another part of my childhood as a kid growing up in the LA valley in the late 80s and early 90s.

I first saw her on Beverly Hills 90210 , a show me and my brother would watch every Thursday night .

Shannon's Brenda, and Luke Perry's Dylan , were the most iconic couple of the series .

She fought bravely against cancer , and my thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.

Jesus what an insanely depressing week this has been as far as losing so many childhood icons in such a short period of time. Shelley Duvall and Richard Simmons always felt like they would be around for forever and while I know most people know Shannon Doherty from Charmed or 90210 I'll always remember her the most from Scare Tactics.

RIP to all three of them.

Now I’m really upset.

I literally grew up on everything Shannen Doherty starred in and what Aaron Spelling produced for her. But she fought hard and valiantly for years.

RIP. There will never be another bad girl like her.
