RIP Celebrity Thread - Part 4

I was not expecting to wake up to the news of Shannen passing away. As a massive fan who watched just about everything she was in, followed her podcast closely it is truly sad that just a week ago she was so full of life and excited to start her journey re-watching Charmed with her co-stars. Shows how quickly cancer can take everything from you. It's a shame she never truly got recognized by Hollywood for how great of an actress she was.

I first took notice of him in HILL STREET BLUES, that's when I started recognizing him in small roles in many films that I had seen before. He was a good character actor.

Oh god I thought Kevin Smith died.

RIP James Sikking, who played USS Excelsior Captain Stiles from Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. He was 90.

RIP David Loughery, screenwriter for Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. He was 71.

Bob Newhart. Now that's a big one right there.

Bob Newhart, the beloved stand-up performer whose droll, deadpan humor showcased on two critically acclaimed CBS sitcoms vaulted him into the ranks of history’s greatest comedians, died Thursday. He was 94.

The Chicago legend, who won Grammy Awards for album of the year and best new artist for his 1960 breakthrough record The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, died at his Los Angeles home after a series of short illnesses, publicist Jerry Digney announced.

Oh, no. I've been a huge fan of Bob Newhart since the 70s. One of the funniest men who ever lived, no doubt. It's nice that a new generation got to know him as Professor Proton on The Big Bang Theory. RIP - and thank you for making me laugh till it hurt so many times :csad: :csad: :csad:

A legend, a comedic genius with a singular, unmistakable style. Seemingly never sacrificed his morals to win in Hollywood. Part of the greatest sitcom fiinale of all-time.
