RIP Celebrity Thread - Part 4

Gena Rowlands was one of my favorites. I heard she had Alzheimers and that really sucks.

RIP Girl.....

Yeah, this bummed me out. :( He actually wrote some horror books that were pretty decent. I was lucky to get a signed copy of Horror Show -- my sister lived near Santa Cruz where he was doing some DJ work.

Not a good day for music. :(

Yeah......he used to play every now and again at The Catalyst. It's a Santa Cruz nightclub on the south end of the mall on Pacific Ave. It was sort of a second home to me. I knew all the staff and pretty much had the run of the place.

Where does your sister live?

Gena Rowlands. Brilliant, fearless actress, who took performance to the edge. Wife to John Cassavettes, one of the truly genuine, original, misunderstood artists in the history of cinema, who actually put his money where his mouth was. Even today, in 2024, he is ahead of his time.

RIP Alain Delon. There were a lot of shady stories about him, but he was always great to watch. A giant of French cinema. who could share the screen with Hollywood's brightest and not be outshone.

She used to live in Fenton, but has since moved to North Carolina. The property prices were a lot better, lol.

Right....Felton. ;) Nice place.
It was when I visited. Lots of trees. What sucked is she worked in San Jose so she had to drive "over the hill" which was a winding road through some mountains which was prone to mudslides. Fun times. :p,

Things she doesn't miss. She used to drive a stick shift too, lol. Quite the workout. :p
