RIP Celebrity Thread - Part 4

There was a Sega CD version of Spider-man vs The Kingpin. It was my first time hearing any Spider-man characters with voices. Renaday voiced Kingpin in that. Interestingly enough there was also a cop in that game that was voiced Cam Clarke. Who used the same voice he used as Leonardo.

First James Earl Jones and now this:

RIP to a legendary talent. To this day, every black family cookout across America blasts this song:

A sad day in music.

Two of our legends gone within a few days. Both have left behind incredible legacies, and extraordinary bodies of work!

R.I.P. to James Earl Jones. Seen some people commenting on how great of a voice actor he was...and he definitely was...but he was a great actor PERIOD. I'd take a live action Jones performance over just his voice anyday

R.I.P. to John Cassady. Great artist. My favorite comic drawn by him was probably Planetary, but his work in general would get me to at least check out any comic.

R.I.P. to Frankie Beverly. He's one of those singers that has been around pretty much my whole life. When these legends pass it always makes me think how I only know certain songs by them. I need to dive into the Maze discography on of these days.

British Actor Kenneth Cope dies aged 93

You'd have to be over a certain age to know him, but in the 1969 detective/thriller series Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) (shown in the US as My Partner the Ghost) Cope played P. I. Marty Hopkirk, who was killed and returned as a ghost to help solve his own murder. It was my childhood favourite show and I still watch reruns. Equally at home in both comedy and drama, he also starred in the films Carry On at Your Convenience (1971) and Carry On Matron (1972), as well as having long-running roles in the soaps Coronation Street and Brookside.

Always sad when a memorable part of your childhood dies.

RIP :csad:

I was 12 years old when MY PARTNER THE GHOST premiered on my American TV station on Saturday afternoons. RIP to Kenneth Cope.

The 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD is one of my favorite fantasy movies, I've been watching it for over 60 years, so it will be with a touch of sadness when I watch it next time. RIP Kathryn Grant Crosby.

RIP to Dame Maggie Smith.

Icon, legend, all those words are thrown around so loosely these days but she really was all of the above. This hurts. I have to watch Sister Act at some point today in her honor.
