Very little is know about the project, but this is what I've found so far...

From /Film:
A regular scooper tipped us off, and it was confirmed that T-REX is about a wrestler named Tyrannosaurus Rex who is on the run from a biker gang from hell. Furthermore, the idea for the film is loosely based on the comic book Zombie did with Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) entitled THE NAIL. Here’s the synopsis:

Hunted in one of the most desolate regions of America, preyed upon by an evil that does not sleep, Rex Hauser is The Nail - and it’s time he took a stand. A semi-pro wrestler, Hauser has been touring the country performing at small-time arenas until the fateful night he and his family run afoul of a bloodthirsty gang of Satanic bikers stalking the North Dakota Badlands. Now he’s a lone man fighting for the survival of his loved ones in a no-holds-barred standoff against the forces of Hell itself! Co-written by the newly formed CREEP International writing team of modern horror masters Rob Zombie and Steve Niles, The Nail is a relentless, unflinching portrait of the heart of darkness, and what one man will sacrifice to hold it at bay.

The film is slated for release August 28, 2009

Other rumors say it's a Western...I've even read that Viggo Mortensen might be attached.....who knows....more info should be released shortly

damn it
i was hoping for a country b grade dinosaur film with guns and naked gals and swearing

And this will be too weird for me.

I don't see Rob Zombie movies... forever and always and it will stay that way! Seeing half of his first two films was enough to back list him joining Michael Bay.

Looks kinda like a grindhouse movie, and judging by the artwork I guess I don't have to ask who Sheri will play.

Im sure Danny Trejo will have a part.

Um, I  Rob....what does that tell you? I am so there.

I've been following this. I can't wait to hear more. The plot sounds great.

i smell a cult classic

Here's the thing, though -- real cult classics were not made with the intention of looking like cult classics or being marketed as such.

Aside from the poor choice of title for this film (seriously - no movie should EVER be named "Tyrannosaurus Rex" unless it has a damn dinosaur in it), Rob Zombie just hasn't impressed me as a director so far.

This movie is USELESS without Dinosaurs. Who gives a **** about a wrestler and a motorcycle gang of demons, I want a superhardcore violent dinosaur movie!! And no, Carnosaur doesn't count. I WANT A NEW ONE!

calling it Tyrannosaurus Rex is a bit misleading...

but this movie looks totally WACK... but in a good way.
i loved halloween so ill check this out.

i guess were all a bit thirsty for another jurassic park movie eh? :D

A killer T-rex on the loose!? Hell yes!

ehh, I like Rob Zombie as a singer,he still yet to impress me with his directing methods. You just can't throw tons of blood, boobs, and demented stuff to make a good movie.
I'll take it his wife, and his buddies will have roles in it,thats all good ,but it wears thin after awhile..

The poster just had the tagline
51% motherf***er 49% son of a b****

I extremely second that.

They can't be serious.

Rob Zombie has got to stop making films.
