Horror Robert Eggers to direct 13th Century Werewolf Thriller ‘Werwulf’

Oh gosh, really? I thought LRD was great.
She’s a really mixed bag to me because her physical acting is very impressive at times. But almost every line sounded like she was actively struggling with Eggers ultra theatrical dialogue to my ear - the scene where she stands up to Orlok especially is suuuper awkward imo.

Nice! Depp was outstanding in Nosferatu and Taylor-Johnson was very good as well - never understood the hate he got from certain corners of Twitter. It will be fun to see what Eggers does with them here, but I'm most excited to see how the supporting cast unfolds. Still holding out hope for Liam Cunningham.

ATJ is fantastic and terribly underrated. There’s always been a strange, totally unwarranted hostility towards him I’ve never understood. Dudes in a lot of bad movies but so are a lot of actors people adore.

Lily I thought was abysmal in Nosferatu apart from a few notable exceptions so I’m a little disappointed she’s now a major Eggers collaborator, on the other hand.
This is why we need a sideways thumb reaction. :o

Agreed on the first part but I liked LRD in Nosferatu. I was uncertain about her after Anya Taylor Joy was recast but I thought she did a good job.

Great to see LRD and ATJ back in an Eggers project. She was phenomenal in Nosferatu and ATJ is always solid (other than Godzilla and Kraven lol).

His marriage is creepy... But he's the inferior ATJ. :o

Eh, the internet needs to let it go already. Especially them thirsty gals. He has been with her for close to 15 yrs now and kids. Also, been on the bandwagon since Shanghai Knights.

:o

Not enough time for him to grow his hair to werewolf length! ATJ I think you could more easily make him look like a werewolf with his typical long hair and beard look.
It's called a wig. :o

I'm sure he'll throw Ineson in there too if he can so we're looking at a proper Nosferatu reunion here.

It's my second favorite movie from the Eggman.

I love monster movies, and I love medieval movies. I'll be watching.

The Northman is my favorite film from Robert Eggers. It's the closest thing we've got to the original Conan the Barbarian.
