Got around to watching the extended version. The additional dialogue scenes with Orlok should have been left in, especially when he laughs in the first meeting with Thomas. Holy ****, was that unnerving.

It’s still crazy to me just how good this movie is. I reread Dracula recently and this is by far the best adaptation. Honestly, it might as well be the only one. I’ll never sit through Coppolla’s dirty old man mess again unless I need a good laugh.

I have a friend who is a huge horror fan and I can’t convince her to watch this. I have no idea why. She seems to hate Lily Rose Depp for some inexplicable reason.
