Robert Pattinson IS The Batman

Chris Pratt's physique should be achievable for Pattinson... Pratt achieved it in a similar timeframe and while I'm no expert I'd imagine it was harder for Pratt than it'll be for Pattinson as Pratt had to lose weight and fat and then gain muscle. All Pattinson has to do is gain muscle.

You guys are over-thinking this. I'm pretty sure while Pattinson is filming Tenet he'll also be working out. I'm sure he'll be shredded by the time cameras roll next year.

I'm not sure why some want Pattinson to look like Affleck. Like being a brute is somehow beneficial to the character of Batman

I actually doubt Pattinson is gonna get super huge Batman. We're not getting the Ben Affleck crossfit, powerhouse Batman.

From the description of the type of Batman we're getting , something tells me the focus will be more on his mind than his muscles.

I never really got all the “he’s so terrifying, because he’s huge!” stuff... because big and cumbersome isn’t scary.
I think there are a lot of criticisms that could be leveled against Affleck's interpretation of the character, but this does not seem to be one of them. Maybe you have never been in a position where you have a huge individual facing off against you, but for me it was intimidating. You have a host of considerations going through your head you do not have when facing someone who is regular sized.

Something like Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity rs_1024x672-151022145309-1024.Ryan-Reynolds-Blade-Trinity.ms.102215.jpg

Or even Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love

Would be perfectly FINE imo. I don't want him looking as roided out as Affleck or Cavill in MOS. Him having a slender frame lends itself better to the general aesthetic of the character. Which is less "monstrous brute" and more "creature of the night" that sleekly fade away into the shadows.

Comparing Batman to a real world person, he would look like a mixed martial artist. Blindingly fast, but also strong capable of lifting weights. Someone like George St. Pierre would come to mind and Batman would look him physically in the real world, but we pretty much have a consensus here that Batman should not be bulky. Here is a pic of George St. Pierre:

The slim look we want is pretty much simple to achieve and many pics have been posted here for reference that would suit Pattinson quite well, without being bulky.

To be fair to Affleck, it is worth noting that the suit made him look A LOT more swollen and bloated than he really was. His actual physique was perfectly within reason.

The design of the Snyder batsuit was top-notch, but the padding and overly sculpted musculature was overkill.

Someone did post it here somewhere in the Bat forums of the costume in a mannequin. Nothing wrong with the fit.

Also, you know, on the matter of Robin. . . if your going for a more detective story? Robin serves an invaluable purpose as the Watson: someone for Batman to interact with, explain the mystery logic, and otherwise allow the audience to get inside the head of the master detective.

I hope Robert will train some boxing and Muay Thai. It's not only great for the physique, but it would really sell him as Batman if he actually knows how to punch and kick. It would also change the way he moves to great effect.

I've been a big fan of Pattinson in the role for awhile. I did some manips awhile back with different cowls I'd seen online. I think this one fits him pretty well.

So does Alfred.

GSP was exactly the one I was thinking about for the perfect Batman physique. We can't expect Pattinson to be able to get into such a great shape, but it should definitely be the goal. Very strong looking, but not too bulky.

Am I the only person that can't unsee that blue dude from Avatar when I see Pattinson?

The padding was ridiculous, he would've looked just fine without it.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the underlayer of the batsuit in JL?

That is more my speed as it compliments Affleck's actual physique much better.

I don't mind the bulk as much as the roll-like abs.

But I did always like the bits of brass in Batfleck's gloves. Spikes and knuckles.
