Robert Pattinson IS The Batman

Apparently Iain Glen didn't dyed his hair for Titans.

His younger self has a great prime Batman look.

Pattinson already has blue eyes, darker hair is a good Bruce Wayne look.
Levi dyed his hair black for Captain role, although Asher Angel keeps his brunet hair. I'm curious with Battinson official look.

But hair dye or not, isn't a big deal for me. He already has a natural 'light eyes - dark hair' combo.

Aren't Pattinson's eyes more green?

Imagine judging an actor for a role he played years ago and not the fact that he is actually a fantastic actor. For those that are mad, you really need to give him a chance. He's gonna be fantastic

I literally almost spit out my coffee imagining some of the ultranerds who live and breathe CBMs attempting to watch some of Pattinson's indie films :funny:

I mean it's such a drastically different stuff, I fear for their health :funny:

Personally, I haven't really seen much of hia indie films so I'm gonna have to haha. However, from what I've seen in clips, he's done an amazing job.

I always thought his are blue. Admittedly never actually paid a close look, I just remember that his eyes are light.
Now you said it, I could see some green hues at some pictures as well.
They're like grey + blue + green.

I couldn't get through most of his indie films. I watch a lot of movies but some stuff he made is just not for me

I liked Water for Elephants though, but that's a very accessible film, and fun trivia - his Polish is actually one of the better I heard in a Hollywood movie lol

Didn't like Good Time?

Didn't like Good Time?
Didn't watch it, I will. But with my Deadwood rewatch and John Wick marathon today it's not near the top of my watchlist

I thought Maps to the Stars was so-so, I started Cosmopolis and High Life but noped out of those pretty fast

is Robert considered a good actor?/

Having never watched any of his movies, I always had the impression he was a stiff/wooden/not very good actor based on what I read/heard about him online. And, I only know him as the vampire guy from Twilight. Maybe it's that Twilight association that colored my impression of him.

He is for the movies he made after Twilight but they are mostly indies that not a lot of people other than film critics and movie buffs saw

Let me know when you get around to it. It's an Oscar-worthy performance.

ah, thanks. that's more reassuring.

I never considered him for the role, but I'm willing to give him a chance if he is indeed the new Batman. I'm more interested in the vision/direction of this new Batman, considering this casting choice pretty much means this will be a "quasi-reboot" of sorts with a younger Bruce/Batman.

with Gotham series over, I felt it was a missed opportunity to tell a good Year One inspired story. maybe this new Batman reboot can do that, focusing on a younger, early career Batman with emphasis on detective work and the like.

Good Time is no less accessible than Nightcrawler. In fact, it's probably even more so - and might be a better movie too. Pattinson was Oscar worthy there.

hmm......yeah, I can see him as Bruce/Batman.

one thing I always liked about Keaton's performance was that he gave his Bruce that "eccentric, brooding, mysterious" vibe. I hope Robert's Bruce will be similar to that.

The character of Bruce is just as important as having a badass looking Batman on screen.

I liked the fighting and physicality of Bale's and Affleck's Batmen, but I prefer Keaton's Bruce. if that makes sense.

hopefully Robert's take can combine the best aspects of all those, while doing his own thing of course.

It's gonna be an uphill battle for him, Nolan film and all. I'm seeing levels of Brie Larson vitriol in social media. Which means it's obviously not warranted , but they won't make it easy. Granted I'm willing to see how it pans out but it's still his point to prove.

I am going to wait and see on this.

If Pattinson and Hammer were the two most famous actors in the running, I'm glad it's looking like it's Pattinson. If this were going to be a prequel to Batfleck, I think Hammer would've been a very solid choice. Going with Pattinson makes me feel more like this is going to be a fresh interpretation of the character, which makes me more interested. And I think it's nice that we're looking more at his acting ability than whether or not he looks like a spitting image of the comics. He looks the role 'enough'.

And as a bonus, he would allow me to dodge my incoming existential crisis about seeing the first Batman on screen be younger than me, as he is just a few months older than me. :oldrazz:

It's astonishing how people never seem to learn.

People complained when heath was cast simply because he was in a knights tale and brokeback mountain. He was incredible! Pattinson is a fantastic actor, and as always, all these people complaining have spoken way way too soon.
