Which do you think is better?

gotta go with Terminator, Robocop just never appealed to me

Lol...seriously this is kind of funny. Its like some saying what do you prefer: canned food or food from a 5-star restaurant.

Robocop is ****ing stupid!!!...yes I said it. :o. Its such a dumb overrated movie. Terminator 1 & 2 are MUCH MUCH better. Robocop is a cool concept but I thought it was executed very poorly and I will never understand why people actually like it as an action movie. To me its more like a comedy....it just looks funny as hell.

And that has to be one of the stupidest taglines ever: Part man...Part Machine...ALL COP.
wow, really...can it get any worse than that?

The first two Terminators. Though I also love 'Robocop'.

Robo would win a fight though.

The point of the movie kind of flew over your head. It was supposed to be funny. It was supposed to poke fun and joke about society in the guise of an action movie. Verhoeven tends to do that with his movies. Over the top violence with satire. Did you not notice all the American consumerism references (6000 SUX) and quirky commercials (I'd buy that for a dollar)throughout the movie? You seem to be only one who took it so seriously.

Im a big Fan of Robo... but i have to go with Termy on this one... Robo is too much of a robot to be able to take on a terminator.Terminators were as mobile as humans unlike robo who moved like a robot.

It really doesn't matter...I thought it was a piss poor film regardless. Its like all those people who were like "Snakes on a plane is SUPPOSE to suck, is suppose to be bad."...okay well thats nice.

I haven't seen the film since middle school though so perhaps I am over exaggerating a bit and maybe I would like it a little more but I highly highly doubt it. If I couldnt enjoy a concept like robocop in middle school I dont see myself liking it now....that and I dont have any interest in seeing it again either :o

1. Cared about the main character.

The most humanistic character in the movie, is the robot. The disgusting aspect of the movie is the humans. In Terminator, specifically Terminator 2, I found John Conner to be alittle *****bag for the most part, Honestly, if kid John Conner, our future hero died I couldn't have cared less. His mother wasn't really very likable either. The Terminator is likable but the aspects of humanity/machine which Terminator 2 touches upon is better done in Robocop.

2. The music score by Basil Poledouris for Robocop is better.

3. Robocop has a better ending, the last word when he answers back with "Murphy" sums up the movie perfectly, it's almost a reverse Frankenstein story.

4. Robocop has touches of dark humour. Terminator 2 has this also but it works better in Robocop.

I'm not saying Terminator sucks, they are both great movies but I would argue Robocop is UNDER-rated and that Terminator (the first one at least) is OVER-Rated.

Well, it isn't like "Snakes on a Plane." I don't think that film was supposed to be bad, just cheesy. It was both bad and cheesy to me. Robocop was supposed to be dark humor, and you're *****ing about it being a comedy. Well, f'n duh. It's like getting mad at The Mask for being funny. If you think it's bad because you didn't like the acting, story or concept, okay. But, because it was funny?

No, I am NOT '*****ing' about it being a comedy :whatever:....I said the film works more like a "comedy".

Its funny at first seeing robocop all mahchine like fighting crime and getting revenge but after a while the joke gets pretty stale. And also Robocop isn't a straightup comedy, its an action AND comedy film.

I did not like the action and I thought the comedy got stale after a while....therefore I did not like the film. Its pretty simple to be honest :o

The corny aspects are pretty funny, even when they killed the cop (blowing his hand off and everything)...extremely corny and funny. I can see how some people can like it (for its corny humor and all).....but I don't see how it even compares to Terminator 1 & 2. Those two films are leagues ahead of Robocop.

I respect your points but I didn't even care about the main charecter. He was just a big joke...the score isn't bad but I think I prefer Terminator's score and to me the ending of Terminator 2 was just great.

It's a good story. Pretty emotional one too consider what he lost.

Terminator 2 > Robocop > The Terminator > Terminator 3

As a huge Robo fan, I agree with that
Though I'm a bigger fan of Terminator

I voted Robocop. One of my favorite films.
I'd say it horribly underrated. Unfortunately, the first film was the only good thing to come out of it.

The debate rages...

Robocop is better than Terminator 1 but not T2

As much as i enjoyed Robocop, i must say Terminator takes this one.. T2 alone kicks @ss!

Terminator 2 > Robocop > The Terminator > Terminator 3
might as well insert the rest of the robocop films in there

Terminator 2 > Robocop > The Terminator > Robocop 2 > Terminator 3 > Robocop 3

of course, almost anythings better than Robocop 3.
