Robot Chicken, anybody?

I was intrigued by the fac that I saw a bunch of comic characters in the promo thingy. I might have to check it out.

I got out of the shower and caught the last 5 minutes of the show on tonight. During the credits it said Sarah Michelle Gellar. If I missed a Buffy skit I'm going to kill myself, pretty sure.

This week's episode wasn't as good as the last one. The only part I thought was really cool was the Voltron bit. Nicely done.

The breakdancing went on a little too long. They should have had old mechanical clanking noises an Voltron danced and the sound of the kids fighting about how to make Voltron dance.

That show was just mind numbing. I think if it was a full half hour instead of 12-15 minutes my head would be fried... That is exactly was it is so great.

I was really hoping the second episode would be better than the first. Boy was I let down. The episode was looking better until the Voltron started dancing. Then right after that, a JFK assassination spoof. Not cool at all. It really angered me.

But that was the best part of the episode!

Brian: Your jokes are lamer than FDR's legs!

Peter: *gasp*

Brian: What? Too soon?

Yes, the grieving period is over, but that doesn't mean I can't have a lot of respect for the guy and what he did for our country.

yeah he did marilyn monroe for our country

i dunno, i was expecting more funny and less 'wtf'. the voltron thing was funny for a little while. the nature segments were pretty funny, but as i said, it was more "wtf" then funny. um, pretty much all "wtf-ness" in the robo-disney vs. fidel segment this episode definitely got what it was going for though, shock factor, and plenty of it. but if you were looking for ten minutes of insanity, then you went to the right place. i loved the extremely short "Do not enter/ Use other door" bit. also enjoyed the Lemmings: Natures ****** special

[adultswim] is making a killing off of 15 minute randomness (read Aqua Teens, SeaLab), but I don't think their run of good luck will last too long past this show. Don't get me wrong, I like it, and I like randomness, but it seems to me that when [as]run their bumps reporting their viewership numbers, the top shows are always Family Guy and Futurama; shows with a quasi-stream of concious comedy.

And for what it's worth, I thought that the Kennedy assassination bit was funny as hell.

Top show on the weekdays has been Futurama for a long while. Family Guy has fallen down a bit. Saturday's top show is usually Fullmetal Alchemist.

And it's just too bad the most current seasons of ATHF and Sealab have been horrible.

yeah he did marilyn monroe for our country
That is clearly not what I meant.

the shows got potential, but it still needs work. I was rolling for the first 7 minutes or so of the first episode, and then all of a sudden, I stopped laughing, and the second half of the show only got me smiling

still worth checking out every week, though. the writing will get better, I'm sure

I agree, and it's disappointing because some of the skits and non-sequiteurs just need such minimal tweaking to make them really really good. But it's still a really unique show right now, the effort is worth supporting.

Anyone have a torrent for any of the episodes?

Saw last Saturday's episode last night. Loved the Nature Spoofs (that JFK joke was hilarious, I don't care what yoou think of the man). The Voltron breakdance was missing a good punchline, but it was still good. I loved the "This is me, this is Stalin... we're married" bit. It was good overall.

I couldn't stop laughing at the Cannon Ball Run spoof.

"yeah he did marilyn monroe for our country "

He invaded her bay of pigs and conquered the moon!

Last Sunday's was pretty good what with That 00's Show and the Unicorn's being late for Noah's Ark. The big race was kinda funny.

Shadow Crawler, I've gotta disagree with you about the latest Sealabs. I think the show's gotten funnier since Shanks replaced Murphy (which isn't to say I don't feel bad about what happened to Goz :( ) I thought the show's low point was the second season. Particularly when Murphy drove around in a golf cart for 15 minutes cursing Pod 6.

that was admittedly a weak episode, but still, Murphy>Shanks
