If you worked for Marvel and were going to launch a new series, what would you start:

1) Something of the cosmics titled THE COSMICS or something to that effect. It would be simply various cosmic entity's and battles/action/stories they would have.

2) ORIGINS or BEGINNINGS. It would deal with an individual hero/villain and their origin, how they came to be. It would list their powers/abilities/capabilities, and then have a brief story with them in a battle displaying their powers.

I think this would be great for people to have a better understanding of individual characters since there seems to be so often, misunderstandings and confusion in regards to certain characters.

One hero/villain per issue, that is, each issue would always have a different character as the main character.

They tried that with Uncanny Origins. Didn't last too long.

Yeah, I remember that series..... I would begin it with bigger characters, though, like Spider-Man first, Hulk 2nd, then Thor, Fantastic Four, etc..... after I would plan to go into the lesser known characters providing that the series was popular.

But I wonder if people would really be interested in a series like this since we're just kinda going back into something that was already kinda done, if you know what I mean.

Probably not. A lotta origin tales ain't that great. Plus th' popular characters've been done to death.

Codename:Captain America...this would be a series that deals with Cap's years fighting the Axis

Quasar...I always liked the fact that while DC has thousands of Lanterns to protect the universe Marvel only has one. What would Quasar's life be like if he is the only one to keep the peace. I see it being in the same vein as a western where John Wayne or Clint Eastwood ride into a lawless town and kick much butt.

Namor. Terrorists attack Atlantis and Namor vows to get revenge. He travels to the UN and declares war on the surface world. He then leads his troops into Latveria which has this big Namor/Doom fight.

You could be correct, I was just thinkin' the 'definite series,' what about the 'cosmic' series? Think that could go anywhere. Lately, I've been more and more interested in the cosmics.

Actually, I like all three of your titles.

Quasar especially.

I ain't big on cosmic stuff, so couldn't tell ya.

what are you big on....bub

Street level stuff. Not so much in th' fantastical realms. A deviation now and again's alright, but I prefer th' tales grounded in reality. Makes it more interestin' 'cause you can create th' illusion that it could probably happen.

i'd like a series on a retelling on the original invaders...even if its a mini..it'd still be cool for the originals to be brought back for a bit!!

Werewolf by Night- I'd change the werewolf concept aswell as the perspective. Instead of the "Man turns into wolf at night", I would focus moreover on the "Wolf turns into man at day." The transformation would be something rarely seen in most werewolf stories. Is there a culture amongst wolves? What do they consider the supernatural to be? Why can/do they change? Can all wolves do it? Why or why not? In addition to these I'd explore how people today would respond to the revelation that werewolves do exist. I've always enjoyed the idea of "magickal" creatures being dissected for scientific research. The story would not necessarily be linear and the series would revive Horror Fantasy in Marvel Comics.

Avengers/JLA- An annual crossover between the big two's big teams, where together they'd face down the biggest threats while hopefully having enough room for character moments. Each year, the publisher changes, and each company chooses one writer and one artist (for when it's published by Marvel, it has a DC writer and a marvel artist, for when it's published by DC it has a Marvel writer and DC artist).

Powerman/Ironfist...Forget all that Bendis lovey dovey BS. Take one streetwise muscle and add in one whitebread martial arts master....let simmer. Am I the only one that sees the potential in this book. Think of this as Marvel's answer to Rush Hour.

Nick Fury. Forget James Bond. Forget Sydney. Forget Ethan. The top spy in the world is Fury, Nick Fury. Make this a book that is like Ultimate 24 and they have a hit on their hands

New Slingers

ESU, the famous Alma mater of Spider-Man and the original Slingers. Now three college freshmen are trying to make it as both students and heroes. Luckily, one of the original Slingers is still around, acting as peer councilor, and teacher for the three wannabes. Love, fun, excitement, tirumph, heartache, boredom, and desolation await them. Face Front True Believers, a new class of Heroes is on the horizon.

Ultimate Marvel Comics 2

a new version of the future of the 616. It of course wouldn't be complete without the Amazing Spider-Girl, once again Mayday Parker takes centerstage in a world with new heroes and old. Legacies are carried, and new legends are forged into the world of UMC2

I would launch a comic book called Thor. It would be about Thor.

that is crazy enough to work:up:

it'll splinter the internet in fifths

i'd start a series called "ultra x-teme wolverine".

it would be the 3rd wolverine solo book, and it would take place inbetween wolverine's adventures with the new avengers, the x-men, his guest appearances in other books, and his other 2 solo books. and it would be incontinuity.

I'd launch a line of books called Wolverine: Never Miss a Beat. It would blatantly rip off the 24 concept and feature Wolverine: 52, Wolverine: 7, Wolverine: 24, Wolverine: 60m, Wolverine: 60s, and Wolverine: 100. That way you could get a whole issue about everything Wolverine is doing at any given instant, from each week of the year right down to each millisecond of every second. Because let's face it, folks: Wolverine really doesn't get the exposure he deserves. :o

i agree. i'm actually going to take that a step further and say the marvel needs to launch a web comic featuring wolverine and have it updated with fresh stories every 5 minutes on their website.

I'm surprised CSI: Wolverine didn't come up. But, maybe that would only work for television....

Let's see, if I had Wolverine be a regular guest star in a tv show, it would be.....

Will & Grace (That's a great way to end that terrible show.)

omg and will could totally be hawt for wolveirne and stuff too lolz!!!!1111 one one eleven one

;)
