Here's a cellphone shot of that page I was working on previously posted here. I really hate going over my own pencils so I winged the majority of these panels with pen, brush and a bottle of ink. Forces me not to make many mistakes to depend on an eraser. Watercolor with the grey tones...

I'll scan it later on as I progress with this story for clearer pics of some of them.

Did a local con over the weekend and it went well. Anytime that you can stay busy at your table drawing sketches, you're doing well. You have to be quick with the work of course.

Oh. I was thinking of the original, "Baby Doll" episode, but you're right, there is that TNBA one, too. Never saw it, clearly.

Appreciate that, Sensi . Yeah, that was just the tired in me talking. I did alot of drawing at the con and just needed to decompress afterwards before I picked up another pencil.

My son not long ago finished his entry for the Black History Month art contest at his school.

Having decided to stray from the usual faces in black history that are recognized during this month, he wanted to go into a different direction...and under the circumstances, I agreed fully.

My kid says thank you, Rock.

He and others at his school felt that he got shafted in last year's contest coming in 3rd place out of 15 students (some went as far as booing the top selection during the event) and he was determined this year to claim the top spot.

After seeing all 3 winners' work last time, yeah, he pretty much got hosed.

Thank you . If he showed a bit more heart & imagination in his gifts like I did at his age, he might surpass me easily.

Growing up in the PS3 generation is too much of a distraction for him though. Technology is great but it's also a hinderance for children's natural development nowadays.
