Now that Rogue has full control of her powers and can touch and absorb without harming others, does the person she absorbs from still lose their powers? Or can she simply copy their abilities without actually stealing them?
This would make it easier for stories to flow. I wonder if she is able to choose whether to sap them of it or not? That would be helpful depending on whether its an enemy or not. That they've shown lately, she can take powers without sapping the other person of theirs
last I knew, at least
She could always touch and absorb powers without making her victim lose theirs. That hasn't changed. The only thing that has is that she can turn her powers off, whereas before skin to skin contact always resulted in a drainNow that Rogue has full control of her powers and can touch and absorb without harming others, does the person she absorbs from still lose their powers? yes she can. The one thing that hasn't been specified is how long she can hold onto them before they wear out. In the first arc of the new X-men, she was using flight and super strength even though there were no flight/strength characters in the issues. She mentioned she got the flight from Northstar, so presumably she drained him before the mission and I guess we'll have to assume the strength came from Beast. Still both powers lasted longer than we'd seen before and I think it was just Woods wanting to write her how she was in the 80s/90s before she lost thoseThis would make it easier for stories to flow.
