BTW, was there ever a Claire Temple as the alter ego of Night Nurse in the comics? Why didn't they just cast Rosario Dawson as Linda Carter or Georgia Jenkins?

Claire Temple in the comics was actually the ex wife of Bill Foster, aka Goliath, and a former love interest to, wait for it, Luke Cage.

So she has the biggest potential to be the crossover character to tie together some of these shows, and even cross over into other properties like Shield or the films.

Was she a nurse or doctor? I know Linda Carter was a doctor but just called herself Night Nurse. I hope Temple uses that title. Would be good to see the other women who have used that name as well.

Maybe they don't want to bring in Linda Carter because of the similarity with Lynda Carter, and also people might think she's connected to Peggy or Sharon Carter, given that Agent Carter is debuting soon.

I wonder if Rosario Dawson might show up in Ant-Man at all, given her Foster connection.

Alternatively, Claire Temple has ties to Luke Cage, so that's probably a big part of it too. It seems fairly likely that she's a character that will continue to the other shows.

What kind of uniform should Night Nurse wear? I think the modern nurses uniforms aren't like those sexy white things from the 1960s. Some uniforms are pretty drab, at least here in the UK anyway.

I'm already pumped for it. The only buzzkill I could get is if she's actually Claire Temple and not Maya Lopez since that would be wasting a great actress who could play a great character on a minor supporting role.

We're talking a nurse vs. a hero who dual wields swords. I'll still tune in since it's Daredevil but part of me will be kind of upset that I'm not seeing Echo in a Marvel project.

This. I think I'd want a lesser known actress to play Claire Temple or Milla Donovan or Kirsten McDuffie. An actress of her talents and fame should not play a character who would only be relegated to the small screen. Besides, joining the big screen MCU would give her career a boost since it's stagnant right now. Looking at her filmography, her two highest grossing films are Men in Black II and Eagle Eye, followed by Sin City. However, her last several films have flopped in the box office and she's had a few others headed straight to DVD. Typhoid Mary would be a waste of her talents as well.

Some are predicting Misty Knight or Elektra. Unless the plan is to make the MCU version of both as Avengers (which could happen) I don't see it. At least all four members of the Defenders have been Avengers in the comics.

So, now that Dawson has been revealed as Claire Temple, I'm wondering how you guys feel about it. Disappointed?

Maybe they will make Night Nurse into a much bigger role or even give her her own sexy nurse's costume.

Linda Carter is the character primarily known as Night Nurse in the comics.

Carter is the character who helps out street heroes like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Spider-Man and appeared in Doctor Strange mini The Oath.

Claire Temple was also a nurse and later a Doctor who was married to Bill Foster (Black Goliath) and served as Luke Cage long term love interest in the comics until Bendis had him hook up with Jessica Jones.

Will Claire Temple work at the Metropolitan General Hospital like Linda Carter did in the comics? Or will she just be freelancing somewhere on her own?

Would be cool if Linda Carter, Georgia Jenkins, and Christine Palmer did make cameo appearances, either as her house mates or part of the hospital staff. I hope those 3 aren't written out completely since Temple hasn't really ever used the code name "Night Nurse", although originally those 3 other women didn't really use that as a code name either but it simply indicated their profession.

Also, I wonder if Rosario Dawson will be part of the Luke Cage cast as well.

Maybe she is simply not Linda Carter 'cause they already have a Carter in the MCU. You know, one very well known Carter with even her own series.
