THWIP*, "morals in America" turned out to be bull****. I know you're happy in your marriage. Maybe you will be forever, maybe not. Imagine how you'd feel if something went wrong or you found out something you didn't want to know, and it changed everything.

What kind of people were you before you were married? I doubt both of you were angels, but if one was, that's unfair to the other. So where does that leave you? I don't know how to illustrate this without making this highly offensive and personal, so I'll just kind of leave it at this and hope you understand what I'm getting at.

'WHF', I HATE........AND I DO MEAN HATE......TO GO AGAINST MY PRINCIPLES AND START TALKING SERIOUS AND ADULT-LIKE, BUT YOU'VE FORCED MY HAND.

THERE IS SOOOO MUCH MORE TO LOVE/MARRIAGE THAN SEX. I KNOW THAT'S INCREDIBLY CLICHE, BUT IT'S TRUE. IN FACT, I'D VENTURE TO SAY THAT THE MOST LOVE-FILLED, SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGES/RELATIONSHIPS, HAVE RELATIVELY MODERATE....TO VERY LITTLE.....SEXUAL ACTIVITY. AS FOR MYSELF (AND I KNOW I'VE MENTIONED IT ON HERE IN THE PAST), I WENT FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS OF MY MARRIAGE WITH VERY LITTLE TO ZERO SEXUAL ACTIVITY, BECAUSE EMILY WAS STILL HAVING SERIOUS PROBLEMS FROM HER CAR ACCIDENT. IN FACT, UNTIL SHE FINALLY HAD HER FULL HYSTERECTOMY 3 YEARS AGO, SHE RARELY EVEN GOT A FULL NIGHT'S SLEEP, DUE TO THE CHRONIC PAIN. WE DELT WITH MORE IN OUR FIRST 5 YEARS TOGETHER, THAN MOST COUPLES ENDURE IN THEIR ENTIRE MARRIAGE.........AND WE'RE STRONGER FOR IT.
MY POINT IS THOUGH, WE DID IT TOGETHER.......AS WE DO EVERYTHING. SURE, IT'S COOL TO BE ABLE TO "BRAG" THAT MY WIFE AND I PLAY GAMES TOGETHER ON THE COUCH.....BUT THAT'S ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF WHAT OUR LIFE TOGETHER ENTAILS.
I LITERALLY WOULD NOT HAVE A REASON TO LIVE, WITHOUT EMILY, AND SHE'D TELL YOU THE SAME ABOUT ME. I HONESTLY WISH EVERY PERSON ON THIS PLANET, WHO HAD THE DESIRE IN THEIR HEART, COULD HAVE WHAT MY WIFE AND I SHARE.........EVEN WITHOUT THE SEX.
