Rumor: MGS1 coming to XBLA

Not exactly.
Not only doesn´t the PSN have size limits (as far as i know), they have PS1 games there.

Of course Konami would rather stick with the original MGS because it's theirs. Every time Metal Gear Solid is referenced, it's with the Playstation 1 graphics. Getting Twin Snakes on XBLA would be a nightmare, so certainly it'll never happen. My post was that I don't know what being on the XBLA would add other than being disc-free. I know some people would download it; some people probably have downloaded the "Halo" and "Fusion Frenzy" games. If you've never played it, then it's awesome and easy to get. If you already have the game, then it's not worth the coin.

Also, I know I'm in the minority in regards to Twin Snakes. I bought it before I had a Playstation, so it was the only way to play a Metal Gear Solid game. I enjoyed the controls, the graphical boost (sans all the bullet-time schtick) and the addition of Rob Paulsen to the voice actor lineup. I do have both versions and have played both versions, but it's just what I prefer.
I played TTS first and liked it but 2 months ago I played MGS1 and just played TTS this past weekend, and didnt like TTS. I finally got to see why MGS fans disliked it so much and I hated many changes, mainly the music and the over the top cutscenes. Plus I hate the GC controller

Heck, they even have PS3 games on there and at least 1 PS2 game. Size is defiently no limit

Thank you.

This seems like a good a time as any to ask, how do 360 game downloads work on Live? By that I mean like old Xbox games or whatnot, not the made for Live arcade style games. I'm just curious.

Like with the PS3 it they have a large library of PS1 and PS2 games to pull from, but they recode some things to fit with the PS3 and so they can be put on PSP, so it takes forever. Like MKII has online play (same as 360 version), and so on. Are the 360 games copies of the old games or slightly recoded or something in some areas?

I've yet to play Twin Snakes, but ya it didn't look appealing. I checked out a few cinema's on youtube to check out things like how Psycho Mantis's face looked without his mask in a higher resolution, and saw things like Snake dodging bullets Matrix style and doing insane flips. It just looked like they tried to give MGS a flashy update, and it just didn't work in my eyes. I did have a GC tho and was eyeing it at an EB at one point tho.

I think they are straight copies, because they feature the same bugs as the orig games. Like for instance Fable has some weird sound hic-ups in the hard copy version and they same hic-ups are still in the Xbox Live Original version.

Well, XBL has size limits as well...but are apparently willing to make exceptions.

I think the upcoming Bionic Commando is supposed to be quite a hefty file.

And, who knows...it'll probably get filed under the Xbox Originals, where they've got whole Xbox games to download.

I can see it happening. It'd be cool, too. But it'd certainly be an exceptional move.
