'Runaway' (1984)

Any children of the 80's remember 'Runaway' starring Magnum P.I. himself, Tom Selleck?

Admitedly, I havent seen it for years (can't get a region 2 version of it yet) and so I do realise that in all probability, I'm remembering it with my rose-tinted spectacles on; but surely a movie about a cop with a laser who goes after killer robots made by a villain (Gene Simmons no less! ) who has a gun that fires bullets around corners is still all kinds of cool (?!)

So c'mon, guys - show your age and see if you remember this lost 'classic'? As i've said, I haven't seen it in years, so I'd appreciate some of your views and memories; Anyone remember what the music was like?(being an 80's sci-fi flick was it all synth?), do the special effects hold up today etc?

I remember Runaway (even though I was born in 85) I used to watch it all the time on TV, that movie was awesome. I remember the bullets that were like little heat seekers and would track a person no matter where they went.

I thought it had a cool premise especially the part where the little robot drones are following Selleck on the freeway, I didn't even know who Gene Simmons was back then (I was 7) until I saw it again in the 90's.
