Running Time Now Official

What about Rogue kissing Bobby, Bobby kissing Kitty, the Kitty/Storm scene at the end, Rogue's mother, the Barman scene with Wolverine, Beast/Iceman/Storm at mansion.....

Yep I would love to know what happened with all those. Those scenes don't even need any big effects from what we know.

By your definition, Endeavor, almost every movie that I've ever seen felt "rushed" somehow..

Fair enough, then in that case X1 felt more 'rushed' to me than what you'd consider normal (if you think it's a normal trait in most films). Let's just say that as I was watching it I was constantly reminded of the date switch Singer was blindsided with, which cut off about 6 months from his shooting/post production schedule. I said at times 'yeah, I see how he had to rush through that' (Wolverine's spin at Liberty's crown for example?) and in my opinion the story and overall film suffered because of it. That's not to say I didn't enjoy X1, but I will always view it as a film that could have been so much more had the adequate time and creative freedom been given to Singer and others involved.

I am really sad, not really because it's length, but because this confirms that version where those important caracthers do nothing at all... damn fox!

Endeavor, sorry I don't fully understand your post. Do you think that the footage that was omitted from the press screenings for whatever reason(unfinished FX/editing etc.) - Storm's wave and all Retroman mentioned will be in the final theatrical cut or do you think it's just been cut and that's that??

Are all of these confirmed scenes? (minus the Bobby/Kitty kiss which we know was there 'cause we've seen pictures). Maybe it's things we think were filmed and never actually were? Although I think the Kitty/Storm scene you mention could be the one reviewers are describing where they have Shadowcat looks down
at Scott and Jean's graves

Ah the runtime issue.. heres my final word on this:

Yes many of us knew the movie would likely sufer from much too rapid pacing, but perhaps it wont be so bad, as x1 was pretty much the same time and I enjoyed it. I think its about time we forget the runtime as its pretty much confirmed imo and get on to seeing how good they made the film, as it could still be a classy last chapter full of the climactic battles.

See my question above. I think what we know for sure was left out from the press screening was minimal... and I'm not sure if the other described scenes were even filmed.

But then how do you think come May 24th we'll see almost everything they filmed when all these scenes(which are hardly minimal!) were cut??! All the scenes Retro mentioned were filmed, we have pictures. I know Storm's wave doesn't have a big impact on story but it is a big, heavily advertised action/FX sequence, it even features AGAIN in the newest Storm spot with all her other finished FX scenes! Why would they cut it??

My guess and it's only a guess. I don't think that's the official time. I think that's the time from the press screening. The same one that PWR saw. I bet they're getting the time from the press screening because the movie premiered in Mexico City with a running time of 1 hour 50 minutes w/o credits.
I could be wrong, but I still don't believe that that's the official running time.

A perfect hacked out running time to get in as many screenings as possible of the latest product.

Disappointing Running Time...

Don't say that X2 with its running time [that could manage well the characters]
goes bad if X3 is shorter and with more characters could be better...

More things to explain and develop, less time and yeah, I'm disappointed till I watch it with my own two eyes.

THat would be really fd-up, cause we saw it in the trailer!!!!I was looking forward to that...

Exactly! A lot of people saw it in the trailers and tv spots! It'd be stupid to cut it!

Here's a breakdown:
1 what about Rogue kissing Bobby - reviewers have said Rogue and Bobby touch at the end after she's cured, this may be that scene which means it wasn't omitted from the press screening
2 Bobby kissing Kitty - we know for sure this was left out
3 the Kitty/Storm scene at the end - this could be the one where Kitty is looking down at you-know-what (see my previous post), so it hasnt been mitted from the screening
4 Rogue's mother - do we know for sure any scenes were filmed with her? As far as I know we only have confirmation an actress was listed to play the part but we don't know if she actually filmed a scene do we?
5 the Barman scene with Wolverine - same issue as # 4, do we know for sure this was filmed?
6 Beast/Iceman/Storm at mansion - have seen pictures and may have been cut out from press screenings. but is it really that pivotal a scene that would have stuck in someone's mind? Maybe it was just a blink and you missed moment that has no significance in the story.

So from what I see we only know that, for sure, # 2 and # 6 have been omitted from Press Screens, in addition to Storms power display and Mystique's voice not having the right sound fx... The last two I mentioned could be explained with the time/fx development issue. Since they probably had to put together the press reels weeks ago in order to ship them to the different screening locations it's possible that those particular elements weren't ready then (you know they're working down to the wire).
As for the 2 scene's we've seen pictures off, I see only #2 having a modicum level of importance since it would increase the level of drama in the whole Rogue/Bobby/Kitty triangle, which is a subplot. The scene in #6 could be inconsequential and may very well be in the press screenings just that nobody paid much attention to it...

There now you know exactly what I feel about the subject ;) :p

Ahhhh, ok so you agree with me - certain scenes that were not in the press screening for whatever reason will probably be in the finished theatrical cut:up:

If the scene wasn't filmed she would never have been given official credit on FOX's official production notes.

So wait!...

This might not be official after all?...

I've never heard a critic use the term, "rushed" when reviewing a film.
-TNC

have you ever actually read a review? :p

seriously, that's one of the most common criticisms in film reviews.

Hmm..

Ok the first 2 pics I already commented on (maybe those are in the press screenings?)
About the third though, are we sure this is from a scene? Could be just a cast snapshot akin to the Leech pic in which he's acting as a camera man?..
Interesting about Doug Lennox, I did not know there was confirmation he actually filmed his scenes.
As for Rogue's mom, like I said, yeah she's listed as cast but how do we know she even went before the cameras? Maybe her scenes were never filmed.
