Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling Eyed for Shane Black's The Nice Guys

Assassin skills are a byproduct of Animus usage and as such unaviodable. Might as well get some use out of that.

Also this has **** all to do with The Nice Guys.
Sorry I got the wrong thread by accident.

I just watched this movie again for probably the 20th time in the last 6 months. Just an absolute gem oozing with chemistry between Goseling and Crowe. I was someone who ignored it altogether when it was in theaters, but I'm glad I finally wised up and gave it a shot. I can only hope they convince the studio to let them do the 80's sequel - it's deserved based on quality alone.

As much as I'd like to see more of these two, there's a part of me that likes it's one movie.

I hear what you're saying. That goes with anything that is really good that you hope doesn't get washed out by poor sequels. But these two are just so good together - I'm talkin' Riggs and Murtaugh good. Would be sort of a shame to not get another round

I'm bitter about not getting a Kiss Kiss Bang Bang sequel so I say no to more of these! :o

This was in my top 3 of 2016. Actually was lucky enough to catch it in theaters. I think it eventually gain cult status. I'm torn as I do want more time with these characters, but the movie works great as a stand alone.

I truthfully don't think Black is interested in what happens next. All of his films are about isolated broken people becoming whole again through friendship. Like the Fast & Furious franchise but done with intelligence.

"...the idea of a sequel, it’s [easy] because well, ****, man, we’ve got like three more plots." -Shane Black.

In the few interviews I've read where Black's been asked about a Nice Guys sequel, he tends to always refer to how much money and buzz the film got, or can get. It seems he's quite open to the idea, if there's a reasonable demand for it.

Either way, he's not completely opposed to the idea.

Oh no doubt, but I don't feel he would've been as involved. Hell, I'm willing to bet he's one and done for Predator as well.

I still think it's ridiculous that this movie got completely shut out of the Globes.

I imagine a guy as outspoken as Shane probably has some political enemies somewhere.

Finally got a chance to watch this on HBO. Very good and a very funny movie. I would love a sequel but won't complain if we don't get one.

This is just cynical. Jesus Christ.

What's the point? It's not even The Nice Guys remotely. **** it, this won't effect my life in any way if it's a ****** show on a network tv show that won't even get a second season.

I'm still mad at all of you of not helping Nice Guys get a sequel

‘The Nice Guys’ Getting Rebooted as TV Series ‘The Nice Girls’; Shane Black Not Involved

This doesn't make any sense. There's not even any brand recognition to capitalize on.

We wouldn't be in this position if people saw it. But can't help that now. Again, this is ultimately harmless. It's just the principle of it that's insanely stupid.
