Casting news coming soon? Ayer responded to a tweet saying "have a little patience"...

Patience...

Hmmm...

OMG AXEL ROSE IS PLAYING RICK FLAGG!! BRILLIANT OUT OF THE BOX CASTING!!!! SO GLAD AYER DIDN'T GO WITH ONE OF THE LAZY CHOICES!

He'll complain about there being too many cameras around, will throw the mic on the ground and walk out of the set.

Maybe even punch Ayer in the face.

Will Smith and Margot Robbie address Tom Hardy's departure.
A brief history: Tom Hardy was originally scheduled to take on Rick Flagg and head the group of powerful convicts in the Warner Bros. action flick, but he dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Then Jake Gyllenhaal was rumored to be up for the part, but that's a no-go. So what's really going on?

"This happens all the time," says Robbie. "People act like, 'Oh my god, the movie must be ending!' It's just the deal with movies." Not to mention "a lot of the characters haven't been portrayed before so it's a pretty big undertaking," she adds. "And it's a big undertaking for the people who are going to play the characters who have been played, like the Joker (to be played by Jared Leto). It's big shoes to fill."

But why is Flagg, a plum role, so hard to cast? There are a lot of factors at play, says Smith. Director David Ayer "turned the screenplay in before Christmas. What happens is Hollywood shuts down. But he was still working and he wanted to (start shooting) April 13th. So it takes a couple weeks to gear back up at the top of the year and people have taken (other) movies. He's moving really quickly."

Robbie nods. "It's almost impossible to get a movie all together when there are two main cast members, let alone an ensemble cast with everyone's schedules. It's crazy if it works out."

Reading that, it sounds like Latino Review was right. The script is trash.

I wouldn't mind that casting.

to me it doesn't really matter who plays Rick Flagg. Hardy would've been cool but I'd honestly would rather have him be someone else in the DCCU.

Wasn't fond of his Robocop, but he was great on The Killing. I would be all for this casting if it turned out to be true.

Kinnaman! Love that guy. Brilliant in The Killing and I actually liked him a lot in Robocop.

He was the best part of Robocop for me. His shift to the American non-regional accent when he went full robot was what sold me. Plus he's the highlight of The Killing. Hope he's a lock and appears in future DCCU installments.

Solid, solid choice. Loved him in The Killing and it'd be great for his charm to translate over to this film.

Hardy was a talent loss, but not something I've ever sobbed over. Plenty of options to choose from.

Cool. I liked him in the Robocop remake.

Hope this is it, and we can move on to some other news.

Bring on the Terminator!

Kinnamon is an awesome choice! Left field, but great nonetheless!

Speaking of, I need to finish The Killing. The last season has been up for about a year now.
