yea doing an animated series would be alot less cost effective, plus if it could be anything like the original spawn toon it would be sweet as heck.

Neil Gaimen's Sandman would be ultimately badass.

But, personally, I'd love a 30's era Wesley Dodd's Sandman animated movie.

Vol. 1 Preludes and Nocturnes is the greatest graphic novel I've ever read.

The scene where the good looking blonde is shot in the face by that grotesque villian she helped still makes me emotional and cringe it was so powerful.

I'd love to see a big production done. I remember "Death" being in development hell and reading that Gaiman was quoted "No Sandman movie unless its done right." or something like that. Michael Jackson expressed interest in the leading role and Gaiman again was quoted "He'll have to stand in line." So I trust Gaiman will make this into a movie sometime in his life.
