I agree. Santa isn't worshipped. He's looked up to and seen as someone who represents the spirit of Christmas, that is, the spirit of giving, of kindness, of compassion and of selflessness. I don't think Christians should think of Santa as a 'false idol' because all he's doing is carrying out the message of Jesus. Christians believe that Jesus gave man the greatest gift of all, giving his own life in order to save us. Gifts/Presents... they are symbols of what Jesus did for us.I don't think the believe in Santa is believing in a false idol as nobody is praising or worshiping him really He's a guy that brings kids presents. It is sad that some Christians think more about the presents than the birth of little baby Jesus.
I see Santa as a symbol and an ideal. He's like... the Batman.
