Is there any way that these two could fit into his origin and actually be in the film. Like they could be his first Brotherhood Mutants but they be called Acolytes back then. I think Cam Gigadent and Eliza Dushku,Anne Hathaway, or Sophia Bush could be these characters. Maybe Lorna could be played by Dakota Fanning

Without radically changing the script that is out there now they really can't appear except for maybe one tiny scene in the end. If they go for a whole new script focusing more on a much older Magneto then it is possible.

That's a shame, as they're important characters in the marvel universe. They could be incorporated in a First Class movie also. Does Fox even have the rights to these characters? Maybe they'd be better in an Avengers movie some day.

Quicksilver seems to have been in Wolverine. So it's not too likely but never say never.

Barely, you could hardly see him, he had about 6 seconds of screen time.

you guys are freaking kidding right? wtf another cameo? and by someone who doesnt need a cameo within the movie......AGAIN!

wtf

It all depends how the story is played out. And really, this is where they should have cameos. They're Magneto's kids. This is the most appropriate time for cameos of Wanda and Pietro.

put it this way, if you are going to use extras, use characters fans can recognise as an easter egg

^Exactly.

Hey, I'll forget about Quicksilver's cameo almost as quickly as I can forget about Psylocke's bullisht role in X3.

Hey, Ive heard that writers are talking about make a X-men origins: wolverine 2, so maybe these characters would fit in to a second magneto film, but if the 3 make a cameo or even a worth seeing apperance in this film, then theyve spoilt a good plot for a sequel.

On the main page there's an audio interview up with Scarlett Johansson. In it she discusses the other roles she was talking to Marvel Studios about (prior to landing the Black Widow role) and Scarlet Witch was one of them. So it looks like Fox do not own the rights to that character and this might explain why Magneto's kids aren't in the scripts we've seen reviewed so far.

Here's the direct link - it's around 9:30 mark:http://www.comingsoon.net/comiccon/downeyjohansson.mp3

I'd like to see them in a Magneto movie, but I'm much more comfortable with them being owned by Marvel, so that we might see them in a future Avengers movie.

Yeah, me too and it gives Marvel Studios a character with powers that haven't yet been explored in their films so far.

Magnetos kids would make more sense in future sequels to the X-movies, assuming they will be made. They would make great new antagonists taking up their father's mantle. James Marsters for Pietro, Rose McGowan for Wanda. Lorna is a harder one to cast. Never had a really good feel for her character besides being a Jean stand in when handled by most writers.
For Magda? Lena Olin.

yes i believe its possible look how well written their relationship was written in WaTXM, the movie could focus how Magneto doesn't show any father like relationship w/Pietro, but he loathes Wanda/Lorna, it could be a good storyline and if the characters are casted right...it will be good characterization for Magneto a soft side we never seen of him in X1-X3 and explain why his children weren't present in X1-X3

if they do a first class 2 or 3 then i could see this storyline working....if they use genosha island as the plot in first class one then maybe in the 3rd film, it'll show genosha reformed by Magneto and introduce his kids ala Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon for example...

It's been said time and time again throughout these boards but Wanda and Pietro would make much more sense in the Avengers, NOT the X-Men films. While they are mutants, that is not where the majority of their history lies. Looking at their comparative history in the comics, they were with the Brotherhood for less than a year. They started in Uncanny #4 and left in Uncanny #11. That's 8 issues. 8 issues! Does that really sound like such a rich history that they absolutely have to belong in the X-movies? No. If you have to look at spin off material like the cartoons and alternate reality comics in order to find any decent inspiration for including them in X-films, then you're stretching for it, so stick with people in the main comics who would make much more sense and have much more history than them.

And as for those who say, "Let them show up in future Magneto or First Class films", lets just get the first out of the way to begin with. Both of those films, especially Magneto, have a TON of things working against them at this point. Magneto is a film being made about a character that most fans don't really think could use a separate film, the film in general doesn't really appear to be a high priority for barely anyone involved considering the rather quiet and small amount of news we're getting on its production and how damn near everyone involved in it have other project they're gonna finish before Magneto, and the bit of backlash from other recent films, this film would likely have to be a monumental success to even think of getting a sequel. Same goes with First Class, considering that it needs to even rely on the success of other films before it will even be considered for a green light.

Marvel is being smart and keeping the rights to them to their studios, instead of tying them down at Fox to a franchise that is somewhat struggling, so that they can use them where they would be much more lucrative.

While Wanda and Pietro didn't spend much time in the Xbooks, they are inextricably tied to Magneto who is the province of the X-Movies. If they appeared in the Avengers with only vague or no reference to their parentage, it would feel wrong. In a perfect world this would be a blended universe throughout the Marvel films like that which is being built in Iron Man and The Hulk to lead to the Avengers, and the characters could be introduced in an X-Film and then jump franchises (as was done in the Ultimate books)

You do know that it's not as simple as just "jumping franchises", right? The X-films and all major characters who appear in them are essentially owned by Fox. They own the rights, and for any of those characters to appear in a film that is not a Fox production, that studio will have to pay Fox. That almost never happens, and in this day and economy, Marvel Studios is not going to pay Fox to use their own characters when they can keep the rights themselves and not pay a dime for it. This isn't a comic book where characters can appear anywhere they want. Until Marvel Studios regains the right to the X-franchise, we cannot count on anyone who appears in the X-films to pop up anywhere else.

Yes I understand. Thus the "in a perfect world" preface.

If Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Polaris were to appear in an X-Men 4, I would like to see them played by:

Helena Bonham Carter- Scarlet Witch
James Marsters- Quicksilver
Natalie Dormer- Polaris

If these mutants are in the next X-Men movie, here is who I think should play them:

Alyson Hannigan-Scarlet Witch
James Marsters-Quicksilver
Mischa Barton-Polaris

Hannigan comes across as too smiley for Scarlet Witch in my opinion. Although that could just be because I associate her most with Willow from Buffy.

In either a XMO: Magneto of X-Men: First Class movie....

Daniel Craig - Eric/Magneto
