Despite claims from producer Walter Parkes that Scarlett Johansson wasn't a big enough star to open THE ISLAND it seems like everyone wants a piece of the actress (and not like that you perv). The actress is in talks to star in another film, this time the Weinstein adaptation of THE NANNY DIARIES. The film, originally set up at Miramax, follows a woman hired to care for the neglected four-year-old of a pampered wife and her absentee husband. In addition to that film, Johansson has BORGIA with Colin Farrell, the recently announced AMAZON and THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY on her plate. She recently wrapped filming on THE BLACK DAHLIA, has MATCH POINT on the way later this year and is currently filming SCOOP for Woody Allen. Not to bad for a girl whose not big enough for a Michael Bay action film. NANNY was written by Shari Springer-Berman and Robert Pulcini (AMERICAN SPLENDOR) and is based on the novel by Emma McLaughlin. No telling yet which of these films will head into production first.
