Do you ever hear a sound in the middle of the night that scares or creeps you out? I just had one of those moments like a minute ago. I hear something that sounds like someone with a knife hitting the metal fence. So, I look outside the window and it's just the wind rolling a soda can. Still. It freaked me out. :o

Howling winds, refrigerator making noises and sometimes my printer just makes a few noises out of nowhere, while it's off. :wow:

My upstairs neighbors are either nocturnal or sleepwalkers, because I stay up late. When I go to bed, they start moving around and that makes my front door creak and pop for some reason and it freaks me out.

I hate how loud everything is during the after hours. You open a door and it sounds like it got ripped off.

My fridge decides to pop and hum at night, never during the day.

I was having a cigarette on my balcony the other night and I hear what sounded like one of the most terrifying screams I had ever heard in my life. It was more haunting than hearing a wildcat call.

So I hear it again the next evening, but this time the noise continues and I hear the full call....it was a ****ing donkey.

where do you live that there's donkeys wandering around screaming in the night?

I am haunted by this really crazy crow who keeps saying, "Nevermore!"
Cookie for reference...

One night I was woke up by the sound of an alarm on a pedometer(thing that counts your steps) going off somewhere on the floor below me. The battery was apparently low and so the sound it made was basically like a robotic cat being strangled. It took me a while to even locate the thing which is the size of an iPod shuffle since I didn't even know what it was or that it even existed. That was easily the most freaked out I've been at night before.

Cats mating/having sex in my backyard. The sound they make is creepy. Sounds like a baby crying in pain. One of the worst sounds ever IMO.

Only sounds I hear at night are raccoons scrounging through the neighborhood garbage cans.

You should spray them with a hose.

no hose in the backyard. I usually just shake some things up or thrown something in the general direction to scare em

I at one time slept with a window open, & one night I was awoken by what seemed like a demon outside my window. I was terrified until I realised that it was two cats mating. Not the best way to wake up.

Those cat moans are ridiculous...and they have no shame. My sister when she was little saw two cats going at it, almost like they were fighting, then one left and she was like, "I think that one cat broke the other one", because it was meowing all off-key, like "mrrrrrrrr". Haha.

Hate the sound. Sooo creepy

I think the scariest sound at night is the sound of absolute silence. Especially in a pitch dark room.

I would always prefer to live in an urban area as opposed to a rural area...at least at night the sounds of car horns, subway cars, and random gunshots, at least I know there are other people within a close radius. If you're in the middle of the boonies and you hear a noise, you don't know what the hell that **** is.

My refrigerator scares the hell outta me...it makes these crazy azz sounds

This morning (2am) my cell phone was on the floor, on vibrate boy did I jump outta my bed:(

One night... I heard the sound of a person's head being chewed off at the neck by a demonic beast with mandibles for jaws, fire for breath and black orbs for eyes.

It scared me, so I hid underneath my blanket.

Nope, I sleep :word:
:funny:

Scariest sound to me is the sound of footsteps in the house when everyone is in bed sleeping

You mean a raven? Edgar Allan Poe!

The scariest sound heard at night would have to be your parents having sex, if you still live at home. Otherwise, something scraping against your window...especially if there are no trees nearby...
