where do you live that there's donkeys wandering around screaming in the night?

Moved out to the middle of nowhere in East Texas recently. That was an awesome welcoming...being terrified by the screaming of a donkey at 3am.

Apparently it's like the lead up to the typical donkey noise you're used to hearing. Obviously I didn't know that at the time because I ran back inside from my balcony, and continued smoking my cigarette through the door that was cracked just wide enough to put the cigarette through, lol.
