Pretty much. After this and other great ones like Goodfellas and Casino I think Scorsese should make this his last mobster film. It was great and he should end it on a high note.

Fantastic film. Nearly crowded showing at the cinema where I saw it- even for an afternoon showing. Aside from just regurgitating all the better-worded praise that this movie will no doubt get, I will say that the ice cream business will no doubt get a boom after this movie.

Seriously, the amount of ice cream that Al Pacino ate made me just want a sundae before the movie ended.

I’m a bit bummed out this isn’t playing at the theatre I go to. Would have loved to experience the film on the big screen.

Absolute masterpiece. That final shot is perfect in so many ways; both in regards to what it says within the film, and in regards to our ideas of gangster culture in general

Instead of the door closing in on a successful Michael Corleone, it's a sad, old withered man; alone and dealing with the consequences of a wasted life

De Niro's acting in this, specifically the third act, might be my favorite performance of the whole year

Bad de-aging or his body language?

Would have loved to see this in theaters ( wasn't shown in my area, thanks Netflix!), but this was an incredible movie nonetheless. As if it wasn't clear enough (to some people it probably wasn't), Martin Scorsess reinforces the idea that crime doesn't pay and that everyone pays for their sins sooner or later. Powerful movie. I LOVED it.

P.S.: The deaging didn't always work. There's a reason why most directors use body doubles for younger version. But the storytelling, performances and character work are SO STRONG and the CGI good enough that it isn't really a problem.

I thought the CGI was pretty bad, especially for De Niro. The story narration and production were good though, but I felt it could have been much shorter.

The CGI isn't poor, as much as the need to have De Niro there at all times limited it. The early stuff is hilarious, because you clearly have this older dude, trying to move like he isn't and it is very noticeable.
