It could be as simple as he and Flagg jr. being buddies since both Trevor and Flagg are Air Force Officers. That's IF Scott gets cast as Trevor.

should we change the thread title now? Scott Eastwood IS Steve Trevor?

Eh, personal opinions of his pops aside, Clint is a legendary actor and director. He has made some absolute classics. I have nothing but respect for the actor/director.

I love Eastwood's westerns, but I find the films he's directed to be mostly cliche, melodramatic drivel / Oscar bait. That said, I haven't seen American Sniper, though some reviews seem to confirm that it's typical Eastwood fair.

How many of Clint's MANY films have you actually seen to make that blanket statement? He's been Directing since the 1970's remember.

I've seen a great deal of them, though I was mostly referring to the period that he's garnered the most accolades as a director (Mystic River to the present). I believe Unforgiven is the last film of his I personally enjoyed.

The you've actually missed out on a GREAT deal of his work. See the films:
BIRD

BRONCO BILLY

THE EIGER SANCTION

FIREFOX

HEART BREAK RIDGE

HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER

PALE RIDER

PLAY MISTY FOR ME

WHITE HUNTER, BLACK HEART
and then reassess would be my advice.

To be fair, out of those you listed, I've only seen High Plains Drifter, Heart Break Ridge, and Pale Rider (all of which I like). Again, I was more referring to his work in the past 10-15 years and, looking back on my original statement, I wasn't clear on that.

I really hope we get confirmation one way or the other soon.

I was in my bathrom 5 minutes ago, scorling thru instagram, reading about Eastwood casting, I look on the left and this is laying on the floor :D

Wonder Woman dating Clint's son hmm? Well, meeting "dad" is going to be damn intimidating for her ;)

Steve Trevor under the command of General Sam Lane if he's in the movie as rumoured?:awesome:

ok wait.... so IF Scott Eastwood is Steve Trevor and he's part of the SS movie and the SS movie is set in present day-- so Steve Trevor + Diana Prince = present day romance?

... because i keep hearing about a period piece with Diana and Steve a while back for the WW movie.

i was just thinking... if for whatever reason they need to show Diana's slow aging process they could call in a favor with Scott's papa? :woot: Gal's Diana and Clint's Steve could be something to behold yknow

You know, I was wondering that too. If Rick Flagg Sr. is in Suicide Squad, that could mean that Steve Trevor only appears in a flashback to the 1940s or whenever. And if that's the case, then the WW film could be a period piece, and Clint could appear in the present day as old Steve Trevor.

You know it would make sense. So the likelihood of it happening is zilch.

they havent cast Flagg Sr. have they? i mean they've had a hard time already just trying to nail down a Flagg Jr before they start shooting

Nope but Ed Harris has been rumoured for the role of Flagg Sr.

I'm down with him for the casting. The guy is the spitting image of his father.
