I am ok with this. I think he and Gal will fit.

No sexual pun intended.

:o

Still no word on who he plays though. It's only LR's word that it's Trevor. Still... Let's see what he's got, I say. Mr. Ecko as Croc is total win... Again IF LR is right.

I'm going with what two of the four trades have said.

He's Steve Trevor. :mnm:

I imagine his cameo, or at least part of it, is Waller assigning Trevor to act as a liaison with Wonder Woman and Themyscira, to spy and learn more about her. And of course, Trevor and Diana fall in love.

Kudos for the guys who came up with this plan.

This movie has so many, possible, connections.

Trevor - Wonder Woman
Joker, Harley, Croc - Batman
Boomerang - Flash
Lex, General Lane - Superman
Enchantress - JL Dark

Oh. There has been more than LR saying the Trevor part? That's good. How he's worked into the Squad film will be interesting and help to build the world.

If the rumor is true that SS takes place in between MOS and BvS, I'm wondering how that affects Diana's introduction and whether she's already met with Trevor.

No trades have said he is Steve Trevor
Variety has posted the article, still citing LR's source. but they ran the article anyway (refer to FA's link below)

Variety have confirmed the Eastwood casting as well as Killer Corc.

well taking that SS is present day and that Steve Trevor is present day as well.... i wouldnt mind if they build up his character first, before meeting Diana in BvS/ WW. given that both Gal and Scott are relative newcomers, i would be ok if they try to build their portfolio up with other movies before they be given the hefty job of leading a superhero film.

They say he is in the movie but do not say he is steve trevor...

How tall is Scott Eastwood? Is he anywhere as tall as his father who is 6'4"? That would be taller than Superman and as tall as Batman.

He has a slight look of Chris Evans about him too. I think he would work for Steve Trevor because he has a Steve Rogers vibe.

His cameo (assuming that he is playing Steve of course) may be as simple as meeting up with to establish his connection to ARGUS and that ARGUS is keeping tabs on alien/metahuman activity post-MOS. It might not have anything to do with WW, in this film.

But he is otherwise they wouldn't have run the article backing up The Wrap and LR.

They felt confident enough to run this story.

Confident enough to run the story that he is in the movie, yes. Not that he is Steve Trevor otherwise they would have said 'the actor is said to be playing Steve Trevor according to a source close to the project' and then would have said LR was the first to break the news. But that is not what happened.

I'm with Pickle on this one. Both TheWrap and Variety only confirmed Eastwood to be in SS (as if him confirming it in a Canadian entertainment show wasn't enough :whatever:), but neither couldn't confirm if he is indeed Trevor.

It's kinda funny since many of us make fun of Mayimbe when he says these rumours/scoops and suddenly he's right because trades back up what he said even when their own sources cannot confirm.

It's possible that he hasn't met Wonder Woman yet if Suicide Squad is set between MoS and BvS so ARGUS might not mentioned until perhaps Justice League.

Maybe SS could have a post credit scene where we see a crashed plane on an unknown Island and Steve gets out of the plane and walks into the jungle and the camera turns to reveal Diana is watching him.

Scott Eastwood remains mum about playing Steve Trevor in Suicide Squad.
Even though he’s acted for 12 years, mostly in smaller roles, Eastwood’s career is now on the upswing. Eastwood has just arrived in New York from Hawaii, where he plays a NSA agent in the upcoming Oliver Stone drama about Edward Snowden. Then he’ll jet to Toronto for an unspecified part in David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad.” Eastwood has read the script, but he’s not able to divulge any details about the comic book tentpole, where he’s rumored to play Wonder Woman’s boyfriend Steve Trevor. “It’s going to be something that no one has seen before,” he says. “It’s so f—ing cool.”

He's Trevor. It's cute how these guys always like to be all "maybe I am, maybe I'm not." :o

I believe he's bellow average height. Gadot might be taller than him when wearing wedges/heels.
