Clint Eastwood looks to be planning a return to acting. Deadline reports that the legendary Hollywood talent will star in Trouble with the Curve, his first acting project since 2008's Gran Torino.

The film, to be directed by Robert Lorenz, arrives from screenwriter Randy Brown and would feature Eastwood as a baseball scout who is losing his vision with his age. He and his daughter take a final road trip to Atlanta to check out a prospective talent.

Lorenz has been working with Eastwood as an assistant director as far back as The Bridges of Madison County. Trouble with the Curve would mark his full directing debut.

Eastwood, meanwhile, is about to release his latest directing project, J. Edgar, hitting theaters on November 9

I hope he's good in it.I plan on seeing this movie when it comes out.

Though it sounds harsh, I mean this in a good way.
Eastwood should've stopped with Gran Torino. It was the PERFECT swan song performance.

Goddamn. This looks really good. It's that simple feel good movie that really pulls the heart strings. I love Amy and Clint's dynamic. JT doesn't look offensive either. Blind Side/Moneyball of the year? This could be WB's Best Picture ticket.

And oh between this and The Master, it looks like Amy is on her way to her FOURTH Oscar nomination. Sadly, no win again. Always the bridesmaid and never the bride. :(

That just looked very mediocre/generic. Actors involved can certainly elevate subpar material but so far this trailer didn't do anything for me.

It does have that feel good simplistic movie look. If Clint were directing someone would probably die.....or go blind.

Baseball bores the hell out of me, but hopefully the movie will focus more around the interaction between the actors. Eastwood and Adams could really be fun to watch as father and daughter.

I don't know anything about Baseball but I love Clint and this looks like a great feel good drama to me.

Baseball and Clint Eastwood? I don't know if the movie could be more American if it tried.

Saw it with Campaign last night, it got a decent reaction. Never thought you'd see the Man with No Name in the same frame as Timberlake, but he's coming up.

Im really looking forward to this movie. Im a huge fan of the Braves and of the game.

Not my kind of movie, but the trailer made me want to Redbox it.

This looks solid. But what the hell is Justin Timberlake doing in this movie?

If JT is trying to tag Amy Adams, there should be no gripes about Cavill.

But what the hell is Justin Timberlake doing in this movie?

Just playing a *****ier version of himself as usual.

I love baseball movies, and I'll definitely catch this one. But I'm not sure it's got "classic" written all over it, like The Natural, Bull Durham, Major League, Field of Dreams, Bad News Bears, or Eight Men Out.

The best baseball movies are either zealously reverent or iconoclastically irreverent, but this movie seems to fall in between. It doesn't really seem to care one way or the other about the game, but is instead a com-dram with some fantastic marquee actors. On that level, I don't know what's going to make it stand out above similar fare.

Just playing a *****ier version of himself as usual.

:applaud

Thank you! I'm so sick of people telling me how talented he is. He's the same *****e in everything, and yes, that includes The Social Network.

I think he pulls it off though because he is charismatic and entertaining to watch

i dont think the coen brothers would cast him if he were untalented
