I said "handle" not "explain". Like visually, how it will manifest, how they'll introduce it and all that...

Of course there's no explanation needed for magic. It is goddamn magic, is it not?

His name tag on his uniform reads "GQ", probably his call sign. Beyond that, no idea.

I thought it was G8, but it's really GQ. What does it mean?

If he is Trevor then I imagine his role in SS is minimal but he'll play a bigger role in Wonder Woman. In The New 52, he was the one who convinced Waller that Diana and the Amazons weren't a threat to the US so perhaps we'll see that covered in Wonder Woman?

I'm the goddamn magic.

:hehe:

Cole Cash (Black Ops) and Nathaniel Adam (Air Force). He could be one of Deathstroke's kids, though I don't believe any of them would be in the army.
There's also King Faraday, but he's more of a spy like Nemesis.

I bet he's one of the guys from Team 7.

Trevor was their pilot. "Myself" is John Lynch, I believe. Also, Alex Fairchild might have been part of it.

Grifter! I didn't even know he was part of the DCU now. Man, I miss the early Image days.

Yeah and what kind of made me think Eastwood could be playing him is the character was, in one storyline, part of a newly created Department of Metahuman Affairs, which I assume could be a part of the BvS or JL storylines.

is a nemesis casting something that would need to be kept secret? even most dc fans have no idea who nemesis is.

True, but who else especially if we are to believe Warner is testing four actors for Trevor? Also, it might be less about the actual character and more about his importance in the DCU and particularly, Justice League.

My final guesses

Steve Trevor
Cole Cash
Nemesis

in that particular order

Steve is a pilot, traditionally. The picture is of Eastwood in tactical assault gear. That's not what a fighter pilot would wear. And as a pilot, why would he be going in on a ground assault. Spies and secret agents, in films at least, do use tactical gear all the time in action sequences. And if Nemesis were to, ya know, be INFILTRATING the military... Well then he'd be wearing their gear, now wouldn't he. Just spitballing mind you. I could well end up totally wrong.
:hmm

Two bars on his shoulder, so he's a captain... Nathaniel Adam maybe? :shr:
Captain Atom could be possible too
So what if Bruce and Richard (perverts) have a falling out. This is what causes Bruce to be tired and weary. Bruce and Richard argue. Richard threatens to quit.
Bruce:" You leave the cave...you leave me...you are dead to me and the mission."
Richard leaves.
Would it be too far fetched for a guy who puts a bat symbol on everything he owns to make a grave to Richard?

Richard gets recruited by Waller...because having someone trained by the Bat is as good as having the Bat

or
Bruce being the always planning mofo he is forsees all this and comes up with a death scheme so Richard (perverts) can infiltrate Waller's operation.

Another :hmm
I've been thinking, and the Osiris patch may have something to do with ARGUS' black room, which holds magical artifacts, and is protected by Trevor. Enchantress could have something to do with it.

Also, the reason they won't reveal Trevor's name is that it could reveal ARGUS and it might be important for the plot.

There are people thinking he might be Carter Hall, with the set photos showing they are on Midway City... but Carter isn't a militar.
Maybe Carter is infilitrated for redemption or for Thanagarians intel, maybe even looking at the artefact that ARGUS may be looking.
Yup, that's my theory too

Maybe a June Moon visits the MC Museum and touches an artifact and spawns the Enchantress spirit. Chaos ensues and SS/ARGUS arrives.
Interesting indeed...

I know it's already been posted, but doing some reading, I am thinking he's playing Nemesis. One of Ayer's first posts about SS was a stack of comic books, the top one being an issue in which the SS rescue Nemesis.

And here is a picture which Eastwood kind of resembles:

Wow there's resemblence there...

This. the importance of the secret is who he plays in the plot. They may not want us to know it.

Can't see him being Carter Hall - I think Hawkman needs to be a bit of a beast. He looked ridiculous in Smallville because he looked too puny.

- Militar
- Not huge
- No hairy chest

Can't be Hawkman. Could be someone related to him, though, just as an easter egg, maybe.

he seems like a pretty tiny guy. i'm guessing steve trevor, even if i can't see how that's something that needs to be kept secret. i didn't even know this guy was an actor until the movie, and the world at large has no clue who trevor is. heck, even knowing who is, if they say he's playing trevor, it'd be like, oh, okay, steve trevor's in suicide squad. not wow, omg, i can't believe it. did you hear clint eastwood's son is playing steve trevor!...

As I said before, it's not so much the character but his involvement in the plot.

i'm not sure how announcing he's playing steve trevor is going to give any plot points away. maybe he's just playing some nobody and people are projecting a larger role onto the guy because of the mystery.

Or maybe Warner wants just this, rapid speculation and discussion amongst fanboys.

doesn't really seem like even that, tho. at any rate, i guess time will tell
